Microsoft® Money 2006 Internet-Based Services Policy

Microsoft® Money 2006 includes up to two (2) years of Internet-Based Services. You will be able to use the Internet-Based Services in Microsoft Money 2006 for a period of two (2) years from activation of the product or until September 1, 2008, whichever is earlier. After expiration, if you elect not to upgrade to the then-current version of Microsoft Money after the Internet-Based Services period ends, you will not be able to automatically update your accounts and investment values in Microsoft Money 2006. You will still be able to view and edit your financial data in Microsoft Money 2006 and to manually update your accounts and investment values. Please read below for more details.

NOTE: Internet-Based Services are features of Microsoft Money 2006 that give you the ability to perform certain Internet-based financial tasks through the Microsoft Money 2006 client software. Your ability to perform certain Internet-Based Services (such as Internet-based banking) may require that you obtain these services separately from your financial institution, with or without a fee. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue these Internet-Based Services at any time, without notice.

Internet-Based Services simplify managing your finances by allowing you to more easily accomplish key tasks within Microsoft Money 2006. Internet-Based Services in Microsoft Money 2006 allow you to connect with financial institutions and make updating your financial data more automated and efficient.

For users that utilize Internet-Based Services, there will be notifications within Microsoft Money 2006 in advance of the date when Internet-Based Services expire. To continue using Internet-Based Services in Microsoft Money after expiration, you can upgrade to the then-current version of Microsoft Money to take advantage of the new and improved features of the most current version.

Internet-Based Services generally include the following functionality within Microsoft Money 2006:

Financial Account Management

·         Importing transaction, balance, and statement information for banking, credit card, investment, and 401(k) accounts*.

·         Importing transaction, balance, and statement information directly from your financial institution.

·         Background banking.

*QIF file import (as backup files) will continue to be available.

Internet-Based Bill Payment & Funds Transfer

·         Creating, changing, and canceling new, scheduled, or recurring payments or transfer of funds between financial institutions, and viewing the status of these payments and transfers.

Investment Tracking

·         Downloading updated currency exchange rates and updated prices for stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other securities.

Synchronization with MSN® Money

·         Synchronizing financial data between Microsoft Money 2006 and MSN Money and viewing synchronized data.

Miscellaneous

·         Sending new messages to or receiving new messages from your financial institution from within Microsoft Money 2006.
