Buy a vehicle with a manual transmission and that eliminates about 95% of the crooks who can't drive them.....

Funny, the most stolen list mimics the top selling vehicles list.  Maybe this list would be of more interest if it showed most stolen per vehicle sold.

And is there a particular reason those cars are at the top of the list? Perhaps explain what makes those cars targets, such as easily broken locks or hotwired ignitions? Perhaps then owners of these particular cars (fortunately, I am not one) could take steps to protect their cars against those types of weaknesses in their vehicles.

Journalism is more than just reporting statistics.

What they did not say and it seem to not be well known is there are a few reasons these vehicles are stolen. 1. They are easy to steal. 2. Parts are in demand. 3. They are common and will not be easy to spot as stolen when used in a crime or joyride.

People still sealing those old **** cars, Really? or this article that old?  Either MSN need to update their information or Theives will need to find new careers because some of those cars are 26 years old and wont provide to much income for them becasue they are no longer on the road.
