discriminating against the ones outside of the age of 24 - 34 with Bachelor's or above...why is age a factor if you have the degree...this is wrong...no wonder many have given up looking for work but they do not get counted in the unemployment numbers.

The reality is that so many jobs have been outsourced to foreign countries. At one time when everything was made in the USA, there were jobs for the middle wage earners. No factories mean no HR people, no payroll and accounting jobs, no product managers, no floor supervisors, etc. At one point when there are only service jobs paying minimum wage, no one will be able to afford to buy the products made overseas. Instead of letting companies have headquarters overseas so they pay low taxes in the US, we need to tax them more so they will begin to bring the jobs to the USA. The citizenry needs to boycott so called US companies with overseas headquarters.

I live in Boise and I question its ranking here. I know several professionals that are probably going to have to relocate because of a lack of jobs in their respective fields. One of them said at one of the openings there were over a hundred people that were interviewing......doesn't sound that great to me.

as a college student deciding where to live after college is a little nerve racking to be honest and reading some of the feedback on the options above just made things even more confusing

Basically, a near useless article. MSN "weighted" some calculations to arrive at a list??? In the past, MSN has shown it has a hard time adding, subtracting, and knowing the difference between mean, mode and median. The article assumes I am to put my faith in the wizards at MSN; I don't. However, I do believe this article (as well as other MSN articles of this nature) do give some general insight that can be taken into consideration.

Boise has 1 500+ employee company's for every 728? that's roughly 900 company's, MBA Today only shows twenty,  and two of those do not even exist anymore.  I live here and Boise has WAY under that, even if you count the call centers, which the Gov. and Mayor love...The unemployment rate is much, much higher than 5.1%, that's just how many can apply or receive unemployment.  It is a lot closer to 10%.  With most lower wage workers and unemployed moving to Nampa and Caldwell to get lower rent and food prices.  who pays these people to post this crap  I know several Master Degree and even Doctorate holders that are driving cabs and working fast food, and the received they're degrees from BSU.

With the POSSIBLE exceptions of Denver and Minneapolis, who the hell would want to live in any of those towns?  They are tiny, and the 6 or 8 available jobs will get gobbled up in no time.  Right back to square one.

When they say best cities in America they left out those cities which actually have the best prospects for hiring. Matamoros, Reynosa, Nuevo Laredo, Monterrey, and Toluca Mexico probably surpass all of these.
