Get married at the courthouse and save your money. Trust me, you are going to need it.

@Cheeetah, just be smart. You CAN combine the two. Do save up all the money, and have it in cash or in a savings account, then go ahead and charge it. You'll get points on your credit card to pay for the honeymoon airfare and the protection in case things don't pan out. A few weeks later after the dust has settled, review the charges to make sure all is correct and pay the card. No interest accrued, but tons of points and benefits.

This is a terrible article.  Charging a wedding on a card is silly.  Most people wouldn't pay it off in 3 months like the article recommened.  You'd be better off taking the risk of loosing a little cash on a sleezy supplier/vendor than paying the 24+% interest on the high ticket of a wedding.  Some people really lack common sense.  Do the math people.  Dave Ramsey would be irrate reading this article.  I can hear him already... Stupid tax.. is STOOOOOPID!

A debit card will do the same thing if you run it as credit, and you don't have to go in debt. what a worthless article
