Experian, Trans Union and Equifax can take all of their godamn credit reports and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. Most of it is a moot point because with the loss of jobs, working people taking pay cuts, loss of property equity and savings coupled with the far more stringent lending policies of banks, most people today couldn't get a loan to buy a frigging pot to piss in if their life depended upon it. Working only part time for little money since losing my 23 year job two and half years ago, I simply now do without or buy only what I absolutely need, and used if possible. I cancelled cable tv etc, got a really cheap cell phone plan, pay cash at all times, stay away from the credit cards, don't use debit cards or ATMs and make all of my own meals at home. If you don't need to get a loan to buy a car or a house,(and who the hell can afford to do that now), then you don't need the so called Big Brother 'services' of these shyster credit report companies who are nothing more then bloodsucking professional thieves. Frig Fico Scores and the burro they rode in on!

Peace to all

These credit reports are a scam. They can literally put anything they want in them and you are the one who has to pay to get it off your report. Why do we need 3 different reports anyway that show 3 different things? How about consistancy? The whole thing sucks. I know plenty of people who have had to disprove the items on their report and said it took them years, because you can't talk to a live human about THEIR mistake. You have to write them and show on the report where they made the mistake, then wait for their response, all the while this is taking weeks, months and years to resolve and the poor consumer can't get what he needs because he's denied credit. It's just more crap we don't need.

Wall Street should burn in hell & every crook they have in it. The day is coming when we will have to have a garden of food in your back yard. We  will be importing more food from other countries because we will have more poor people faster then you think. This country & it's political system have failed it's own people except for the rich. There should be many more Wall Street big wigs in prison right now. In 2008 we all witnessed who controls this country by way of the Fed Treasury to the White House & Capital Hill.Over 50 years ago we were a better place then today. Who is to blame? Politics & Money.

lol.. even your auto insurance is based on your credit score. take me im with farmers same as my neighbor. he has great credit mine is not so good. we have same coverage . he has a DUI speed tickets and 2 accidents i am accident free 25 years no speed and def no dui. i drive a 96 toy tacoma he drives a 2011 mustang GT.  and yet i pay 700 every 6 months and he only pays 465 every 6 mnths.so you get to thinking why . my ins said we took a rate increase lol but he is my neighbor rt nxt door. so i did some digging and the only thing dif between us other than the fact im 10 years older and he is a bad driver is our credit score. so i watched. over time i noticed every time my credit dropped my auto ins went up. kind of makes you wanna say hmmmm. your credit has nothing to do with your driving and they shouldn't be able to even glance at your report. but as with every thing else the first thing they ask for is your ssn. lol you know the number your not supposed to give out lol.

Screw the three Credit companies. I wrote about this before.... keep your for profit company out of my business and screw you if you think I'm obligated to give you my Social Security number.

LISTEN: NOBODY IS ENTITLED TO YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NEMBER EXCEPT FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOCIAL SECURITY.

I absolutely never ever give out my Social Security number to anyone. If anyone asks for it --- ask them for their debit card number along with their PIN number. I had a women tell me it's her company's policy to obtain my SS number. I told her to screw her company and walked out. Doctors, hospitals etc all ask for your SS number and you do not have to give it to them and believe me, they are OK with it. They just assign you their own file number.

SCREW THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES, YOU DON'T NEED CREDIT CARDS, DON'T FALL INTO THEIR SCAM SYSTEM.

This really is an article that doesn't say much.....Just remember; a credit score isn't a result or a function of behavior;  It is a method to control behavior....stop wasting time worrying about a credit score and spend more time planning on how to pay "cash" for items that you want....Believe me when I tell you....place enough money, say 30-40% down on a home, and you will be surprised at your financing options and interest rates (regardless of your credit score).  "Geez, we only have 3-5% to place down on a home," you say.......well, you already know what my response would be!  Good luck trying to control the banks, credit bureaus, etc.!

I have a mortgage and car payment. The credit cards got shredded years ago. The credit card companies can shove em. The rest of the debt is being shed fast and they can shove the credit score as well.

FICO is not transparent, anything could be in it. The writer doesn't know anything and this article is a joke. If it was an honest fair algorithm the consumer would be able to see how they really come up with these numbers.  BTW these agencies have expanded their data collection to follow what you are doing online! It's scary what they are doing, but we will never see an article written to warn the public about it.

We had the same problem. 780 Fico, 18% debt to income (home only debt), 65% ltv, no cash out, W2 income with same company for over 15 years and lived in home for 10 years with never a late payment.  The banks want loans with PMI as it is a great profit center.  One first time buyer that I know wanted to put 20% down conventional and was denied so she went FHA with 5% down and 680 FICO. So we are repeating the same cycle that got us here.  We are being penalized and cannot get a lower rate for our loan even with our credentials and a first time buyer is being shoved into a property.  Hang on to your shorts, banks are doing a replay of late 90s and into 2000s.

I tried ANNUAL REPORT.COM. There it was at the end of the process. CREDIT CARD NUMBER REQUIRED. I guess nothing really is for free in this world.

keep a low score and you will never be tempted to go in debt again  .Don't play the game.  More borrowing leads to more payments with interest. That's just what they want.  It serves nobody but the fatcats  .Use reverse psychology on these suckers.

Free Credit report, Ya sure if you sign up for a expensive add not that is free for 30/60 days and when you don't cancel they charge you.

Why didn't the Feds make the rule that its free without any strings attached?  I consided these free

credit reports a pain in the a.. and they really do NOT reflect the whole truth.  Each company uses

different rules so how can it be fair and true?

we get a credit report based on a system implemented by liars and theives. the financial system in the usa is approaching a meltdown regardless of what alfred e. newman says.... so how important is an individual credit report? from what i can see the only credit report that matters in america is the credit report of the foreign coutries who are heavily invested in the financial overthrow of the usa.

These REPORTS follow no standard, accepted accounting practices and have a typical accuracy rating of "ZERO"....they give me a Number but won't add the word "JUNK" or "A rating of ZERO" on their Reports.  They rate me....why Can't I RATE THEM???

Credit reporting is a scam...The guy who invented it said as much on the news shows year ago. Another way to keep the masses in check. Gonna look again but I do not see the story so far. If it was all so good and clear how come you get three different ratings from three different company's

The credit report companies are nothing but money sucking pigs over a 3 digit number. They are making billions making you think you need to buy credit monitoring, LifeLock, credit scores, etc. etc.. A huge scam! Social Security numbers where never suppose to be used for anything but Social Security and now look at the mess. Put them all out of business buy NOT buying their scam product they promote so much as a MUST HAVE. We all have their must have. It is the middle finger! Stop buying their product entertained around a 3 digit number that is basically a non-existant product they don't even have to have right. Easy business and easy money for a bunch of s****ing corporations reaching daily into our pockets. The Banks will still loan. They loaned long before this billion dollar profit 3 digit number was thrown out there.
