Why can't you just for once not try to force me to artificially boost your numbers for Bing by making look up ALL OF THE RELEVANT facts and just post the frigging story?

I stopped clicking after the first four...I am so sick of MSN probing the user to use Bing with all the (what?) in parenthesis.  If people prefer Bing, fine.  But, if you are going to be in the reporting information industry, you should not make your viewers Bing the answer that only gives links to the answer.  You know what, I will just go Google Stars who donate the most money...Bing!!

I believe you omitted Bill and Melinda Gates and their foundation.  No living human beings have given more than these two ($billions) in the history of man/woman kind.

I hate, hate, HATE the way these articles are set up. I hate BING, I'm a google person. Why are they forcing us to use it for all the relevant info in the articles. It's just plain annoying.

Sooo, what is so charitable about donating to the country music hall of fame?  Doesn't that; and the rest of the halls of fame over this country - charge for admission to make money?  Now if she donated to organizations whose purpose is to help others, who can't help themselves - be they animals or any sub group of people...I'd say they have a case for considering her the most charitable celebrity.  I'm not knocking Taylor Swift; I like her music and she seems like a genuine person.  I'm questioning the organizations criteria for what constitutes charity because I didn't realize money making entities were considered charities.

And where is Sarah McLachlan on this list?

Far too short a list.  There are so many other celebrities, sports figures and business people who give huge percentages of their income to charitable causes.  It's just that they prefer to be nameless/ faceless donors.

And let's not forget commoners, like all the rest of of us, whose collective contributions make up the bulk of humanitarian aid.  It's all good, people.   It's all good.

Since when are strategic tax write-offs considered sharing your wealth?

So Taylor Swift gave to the Country Music Hall of Fame. How does that help needy people?

Sad that people don't even know about Saku Koivu's (NHL) charitable work. He has turned down gigantic contracts, and uses the money he does make to open hospitals and centers for young cancer patients.

Heck, I would even throw Eminem in there. The sheer amount of stuff he does to keep Detroit somewhat alive is mind-boggling.

Interesting...another 'crack journalist' making an attempt to further glamorize a very small minority of the filthy rich hollywood trolls...but doesn't realize that foundations are a way to use OTHER PEOPLE's MONEY to make the person FORMING IT look like a hero.

When did we decide that real journalism no longer matters!?!?!?

No_Really, couldn't agree more. Bing is an annoying nuisance. Drives me crazy.
