MSN Money finally figured this out?

Guess what, the middle class has been living this for the last 15 years.

No matter who is in the White House and which party controls Congress, the middle class has come out on the fuzzy end of the lollipop.

Economic recovery?????????????  Bullsh*t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moron....

Amazes me how reporters willfully and knowingly write half-thruths and flat-out lies. Recovery hasn't happened.

Obama says he's the champion of the middle class while he does everything to enrich the elitists and the do nothings, while the working middle class gets hammered. His money bundlers are getting rich on clean energy subsidies, the bankers are raking in their bail out money, and wall street is swimming in fees with the latest Fed. created market bubble. Take away the stimulus and the correction can happen so we can move forward with real growth.

There is no middle class left in the US.  The rich will always be rich, but the middle class is largely the backbone upon which the tax structure was built.  Soon, there will be no one left to pay the bills for the masses that collect their payments in one form or another.  That's okay...We have the FED to print money ex nihilo.  Next stop- insolvency and bankruptcy for a once great nation.

now just remember that health care is not going to cost you one dime more and all us rich middle-class that is working are just going to have to help out Obama and  give just a little bit more.    With Obama and Bernanke  throwing money around,  don't worry what they can't steal from us they will just print, this country will have no middle class left that is if we have a country.  It doesn't matter what party is in washington, too much government, too much debt,  too much taxes, and no one who is honest or will tell the truth.  They are crooked and have forgotten that a country with out a moral compass is headed for disaster.  Read a Bible once in a while.

We are slipping into a country of the exploited, and the exploitable. Pay eight dollars for twenty five cents worth of popcorn in the movie theater to get a feel for this. Pay nine hundred dollars for a seventy nine dollar car repair to get a feel for this. Those of us who used to be Samaritans now have little chance but to exploit others just to survive this rather distasteful environment. This is a spiral that will take America to a third world economic model, and tax systems, retail systems, repair, replacement, maintenance and all systems relying on (Bernanke printed) cash flow will join the American exploitation parade. It ain't gonna be pretty.

Just hang this old fool, Bernanke. What did he expect by 0% rates? The corporations and wealthy are laughing all the way to the bank all the while the middle class and savers are getting killed. This guy is a 100% mopic fool/failure.

The stupidity of marketed materialism has ruined us. Keeping up with the Joneses was neighborly competition... add a commercialized sports mentality and competition leans into sabotage and crime. In the early 1980's... we saw downsizing (selective elimination of the Middle Aged Middle Class) and from 2007-09 we saw it again. TWO groups do this... the should-be-retired-but-they-are-psychopaths, and their successor generation- soon-to-be-psychopaths. Each privileged generation doesn't help the economy, they help themselves to what the economy yielded before they scuttled it to collect. Without mesmerizing these fools into believing acquired and accumulated assets are what life is all about... we would have shallower declines, more modest rises and not be destroying the ground we walk on for a temporary profit. Time to END corporatism, which isn't capitalism... time to make False Elitists pay up for trashing us and send THEIR kids to the next trumped-up war.

History isn't just 1970 (or even 1946) onward. Take a longer perspective, and the big middle class we experienced was a temporary situation, built on our need to become the industrial giant of the world since we were the only developed country not in smoking ruins. That moment in time isn't coming back. The fact that we're not the richest, don't have the best healthcare numbers, and don't have the most modern technology anymore isn't due to the idiotic "reasons" you'll find in many of the posts here. Its because we're still basically a society that believes in giving everyone a chance to scratch and claw his way to the top and, though there are lots of complaints about government being the enemy, we've made a conscious choice not to pool our resources through government to pay for the "best possible for everyone". So we DO have the best of everything IF you have been one of those who made it to the top, but the debt bubble that most rode turned out to be an elevator that didn't go to the penthouse. At some point we have to start addressing the issues raised in the article in a serious, logical manner. US multinationals haven't hired in the US since 1989 - corporate taxes have dropped from 26% of total taxes to 9% but almost entirely by the biggest companies paying a -0-% tax rate - we aren't giving the government enough money to provide what we want them to, even if we were to cut out the MASSIVE waste and featherbedding that exists - Obamacare casts in stone the nearly 40% overhead/profit that health management companies (not the actual providers) suck out of the system, compared to the 7% that's standard in the countries with 100% private systems better and MUCH cheaper than ours (like Switzerland) - Delta airfares are $1800 round trip from Atlanta to Europe, but only $1,000 round trip from Europe to Atlanta on the same planes, just taking the flights in reverse order (and they get 2 free bags!!). Maybe we're just too big, with too many voices making it too easy to mislead too many people, but if we don't sit up and take notice, we'll just keep arguing without even knowing the bases for our arguments.

You people on the left are a bunch of fools. The republicans trying to destroy the middle class, what a joke! You and everyone in this country knows that the middle class is the backbone of our country. Now tell me if this is true why would the republicans want to destroy themselves? You libtards really are retards!

Jobs, jobs, jobs We need jobs in America. To bring money and jobs back to America we have got to take taxes off business. Final consumption sales tax only - no item or person exempt. At the same time give the American people the direct right to decide what they are willing to buy thru government (bypass congress). In 4 years the American people will reduce government by 35% and increase the productivity of our tax dollar by 300 to 400%.

Commemorate China's Communist contribution to keeping American capitalism alive with a federal holiday...

"American Capitalism DIES Without Communist Chinese Cash Bailouts Day"

Replace Independence day with it. We are not independent. We are dependent on China.
