WTF !! Just read where GM is "forgiven 10 billion " dollars of debt to our government, or should I just be straight forward and say it like it is?? Taxpayers just took a 10 billion hit when GM is sitting on what, 26 Billion in cash?  WTF !! Buying labor union votes Obama?? So lets turn right around and CUT tax breaks to regular citizens that have hardly any tax breaks to use as it is and have barely enough to live on..

Again, give 10 Billon dollars of OUR money, not the US Governments, ours to GM that has two and a half time that in cash and screw working taxpayers.. Good job Congress, House and Senate led by Obama. Continue to bankrupt Americans..

We could do better with high school drop outs running the country

Forget income taxes completely.  Just have a federal sales tax.  To protect low income individuals you could do it just like Pennsylvania's sales tax; exclude food and clothing and tax just about everything else.  Think of the money we could save by not having the IRS and lobbyists trying to influence the next tax bill.  Plus people could easily plan for their taxes.  No coming up with new tax schemes every year.

This is why we need a tax overhaul. The Federal government has so completely convoluted the tax system. Wouldn't it be nice to pay your taxes over one year based on income level and number of dependents and at the end of the year you don't need to do anything but show your income statements and size of your family. If the federal government did this, then taxes would be generally lower over all and everyone would pay their fair share.

Gee, these are all middle to lower income tax breaks, what happened to taxing the rich Mr. Obama?

Oh! Sorry, I forgot, those are the people that paid to get you elected, wouldn't want to upset them now would we.

Yet another lie from the liar in chief.

This is what you get when demowits run things. Eight tax credits going away and over twenty new taxes with ObuttwadCare or the Unaffordable Healthcare Act, which ever you prefer. The demowits creed - Spend, Tax, Borrow, Redistribute.

No longer being able to deduct PMI. This hurts those who Obama claimed to be attempting to help. People are required to have mortgage insurance if they have less than 20% equity in their home, which in this past year, I believe was extended to the point where homeowners cannot get rid of the insurance payment over the life of their loan. People with less savings, aka lower to middle class, who desire to own a home must pay this insurance and can no longer reap the tax benefit.
Sounds like a big screw job by the white house after selling people on the idea of making housing affordable.

So I've been subsidizing people's mortgage insurance, Bus passes, debt when they overextended and got foreclosed on, school supplies that I already pay for through my property taxes, and the electric vehicle industry (not including the low interest loans to the industry that have gone belly up).

When are they going to subsidize me and my tax producing working?

Can anyone smell a rat here regarding the loss of these tax breaks? Obama Care, that's why! You know the government has to make it up somewhere so they can finance the Affordable Heath Care law! They spend millions of our hard earned tax dollars to fix a broken system and passed the cost on to us, the tax payers! They are taking away more and more of the deductions each year to help pay for the trillion dollar deficit the government owes. This week, the government forgave GM for 10 million dollars of our tax dollars for their bailout. Also, a few months ago, the U. S. Government ordered routers that were incompatible to their computer system and had to store them in warehouses at the tax payers expense? That cost the taxpayer another several millions of dollars in wasted tax money. More government waste that is costing us millions, billions and trillions....so are we surprised they are passing the buck onto us? Expect taxes to keep rising higher and higher as time passes. Blame the tax payers who voted the Obama Administration into office for all this. They like the rest of us who DID NOT vote for Obama are paying for all this government waste and suffering the consciences of being unable to deduct any of these deductions from our income taxes after this year. I have a few friends who did vote for Obama and they are telling me they now wished they had not. Another did not vote for either candidate this last time. I can proudly say I voted against him both times! But, I am suffering along with the rest of them. Bite me, if you disagree with all this.

Why is it so essential to keep the $245 transit benefit temporary while the $245 parking benefit is permanent?

Teachers need to get more than a $250 credit. Out of pocket costs can range in the thousands so kids have materials not supplied by schools.

Yep, NO NEW TAXES alright, but just like a lawyer finds a loophole and sticks it to you every chance he gets! Hey, isn't that what us republicans and big business' are supposed to do?

Teachers classroom deduction that was one of the biggest scam there was. Here in the once great state of NY, the average cost to "educate" a kid is between $20,000-$30,000 a school year depending on the district. Spending that kind of money what could the teacher have to purchase? And then given the fact that the average salary for a 20 year teacher is over $100,000, with free or close to free health care benefits, 3 week paid sick weeks per year that she can accumulate and cash in when she retires at 55. With a pension of around $75,000 a year free of NY State tax, plus her and her husband's health care, what more do they want?
