The poorest county in each state

The country is in tough shape and the government can't fix it by cutting taxes.  It's up to Americans to straighten things out and sadly I don't think we're up to it.

A couple of examples.  Someone mentioned Walmart.  Back in the days when Sam Walton ran the company, you would see Walrmart ads with the flag flying in the background, a bald eagle flying around and Walmart bragging about selling "Made in USA" products.  As has been said, now just about everything in Walmart is made in China.  This has put 4 Waltons among the 12 wealthiest people in the USA.  It has made Walmart the country''s largest employer.  Unfortunately, those employees make about $9/hour and can't afford the premiums for the company health plan.  Walmart raised  their employees premiums in December.  Merry Christmas.

And what about Apple?  Their stock is at $500/share so everybody is happy with them.  Americans all want their iPhones and iPads.  They are sitting on $100 billion in cash.  Guess some of the money is going to shareholders.  What is the reason they manufacture everything overseas?  Is there any other company more financially capable of putting Americans to work manufacturing products?

In the 60's and 70's these companies would have been boycotted.  American workers watched out for each other.  Today Americans will sell out their neighbors so they can save 37 cents on a shirt or have the latest iPhone.  American union workers are called thugs while company executives continually take benefits from their workers in order to "earn" their inflated compensation.

Large companies take care of stockholders, not employees.  If Americans don't demand living wages and benefits and watch out for each other, this article will soon be about the few counties that actually aren't at the poverty level.

Why are we as Americans NOT firing our politicians for things like NAFTA that has closed our plants, and manufacturing facilities? Bill and Hillary sent our jobs to China, Taiwan, and Mexico. Why are we not demanding someone bring our jobs back here? It is time we as Americans stand up and say "Bring our troops home and worry about our own people!"

I f you look at the History of this country, you will see a growing trend of deciet. It all spans from politics in our nations capitol of Washington DC. Our jobs have left us do to the "so called " free trades agreement, our money has lost it's worth due to the fed reserve not backing it with gold or silver (thats why money does not have these metals in it anymore and why money is now a federal reserve NOTE, or an IOU fiat money) and although they were the ones who have ruined us, tyhey still have to punish us by asking for more taxes. This is the same Politics our founding fathers fought against. Not withstanding the fact we are 37th in the world in healthcare, but number one in revenue from it !!

We've got LAWS to prevent  working 29 hours a day and we can thank unions for fighting the abuses of years ago. Problem is over time they got greedy and too much influence in politics and a good thing went bad .That's my point.
