The pool monitor company should make a version that can report to the parent when a child or pet has been left in a hot car. Heartbeat plus temperature limit = alert to parent's bracelet.

Remember the oven that kept your food refrigerated, then cooked it in time for your return home from work.  What's next, a internet enabled Lawn mower or snow plow.  (I'm working on that one!).

The only "gadget" on this list worth anything is the pool monitor...the rest, worthless. How lazy do you want to be? And you wonder why kids and adults are out of shape.

Just remember that signal is sent out over the internet and can be hacked.  Anyone remember the movie "Demon Seed"?  So no thanks, I'll stick to my brass key thanks.  I do like the auto on off of the lights, but for that I use a mechanical timer I plug into the outlet.  And my computers, when not in use, are turned off.

I think there are several good looking ideas here. I like the door locks. It would be handy, as an Orkin man comes to my house regularly to ensure I stay pest free. The last two times, I have had to reschedule because I worked too late.

The ball thing could be fun, Always looking for new family entertainment.

THE TEDDY BEAR. Way cute, but I don't believe it will be a good market for kids. This will be a better market for people looking for a gift for seniors. Gramma that doesn't text, but would LOVE hearing from her kids/grandkids more often. And we all know we don't call as much as we should. If this could be upgraded to send pictures, it would be much better though. I think there should be one at every bedside in every retirement/nursing/independant/assisted living facility in America.

Reminds me of the commercial where mom is watching her girls in the house then watching them leave. All it would take is some pervert to hack into the system, get to know the pattern then, ? You get the idea. NO THANKS!

This is a little off subject but I need help with my gadget. As of this week  my computer will not display images that show up with cover stories. Particularly on AOL. It shows an image icon but no image.
Anyone know of a program that will fix that?
