Why is this article back . We've read this one before . It was bogus then , and it's bogus now . Not all of these "treasures" were found in the trash , they were hidden away .

All of these were probably almost thrown away by a woman who was hell bent on cleaning up.

My in-laws, who used to live just across town from us decided to move to a state where the cost of living wasn't quite so high.  I was helping them pack and my mother-in-law had put a painting of a coyote with a kind of southwestern/desert background in her pile to donate to charity.  I told her I kind of liked the painting because of it's pale, muted colors so she told me I could have it.  She didn't realize that she had just given me an original print by a very well known artist.  When I took it in to a dealer to be appraised, his eyes nearly popped out of his head.  He asked me where I got the painting and how much I paid for it.  I told him my mother-in-law was going to give it to charity but gave it to me instead because I liked it (she thought it was hideous!). Then he told me how much the print was worth and I almost couldn't catch my breath.  I have it hanging in our family room which is done in a southwestern motif but I still haven't told her I had it appraised or how much it was worth. I don't want to screw up my husband's inheritance by having my in-laws think that they've already given us more than the other kids! : )

What an absolute 'piece of trash' this article is.

Of all the items listed, only the Mexican painting was 'found in the trash' and even that seems to be a point of contention. That said, it was worth only $1900 at auction, minus any fees, so hardly a bonanza after holding it for decades.

I am dubious of calling the Francis Bacon items 'found in the trash' as the intent was to throw them away, but then they were saved, preserved, even cataloged. So they were 'saved from the trash' but not necessarily 'found in the trash' as the article implied.

Everything else was lost or misplaced or hidden away or forgotten, but not in the TRASH.

MSN used to be worth reading, but just garbage now.

Wooden head is a typical liberal...he sees no wrong in what their party does no matter how destructive it is. They can not read, they can not see what is happening around them, they can not be confused with facts (obvious facts) still blaming George Bush since that is the only crutch they can lean on. The libs helped elect some one that is Muslim, radical, divisive, corrupt as well as destructive to our economy and freedoms. Yeah, great choice, good job. Oh wait there are no jobs but we did gain about 7 tril more debt. Wasn't it Barack that said GW was un-American because of his debt? I am sick of the losers thinking they deserve something for nothing. Socialism is now your new way of life, enjoy it while it lasts. Millions died to prevent this type of government but not a shot was fired to get socialism in the White House.

Tell you what, it's Obummer's fault for this article not living up to the title.  "found in the trash", but they were just stored away.  what an awful disappointment.  I blame Obama.

What is a good term for people that blurt out a bunch of off topic nonsensical biased political garble in these forums? I kind of feel like if I could live under George W Bush's rule for 8 miserable years without crying about it then the opposition could try doing the same... Wah! Wah! You lost the election, Man up and get over it...
