I have grown so weary of all the people who whine and complain about wealthy people. Many of the people that I know who complain the most will sit and watch TV reality shows about actors and musicians who are multimillionaires, but let a business man or women get accolades, and suddenly they are scumbags who have oppressed you in some manner. Do you know how many people these CEOs employ? Somewhere along the way, people have to realize that entrepreneurs and business executives do contribute greatly to our society in many ways, including products that we utilize on a regular basis, taxes that their corporations pay, and the people they provide jobs for. Many of them are also avid philanthropists who give a great deal of money to various charitable organizations. Oh, and for the record, I am lower middle class, so no making assumptions that I have a stake in this other than what I have stated.
Everyone wouldn't say negative comments if you were one of them... granted, they had money to start off with or it was passed down. But others were entrepreneurs that came up with an idea...like google... talk about giving back. There's nothing wrong with getting wealthy by an invention. Its all about education, look at the schools they went to... education will always be stagnant and unchanging, well, the majority of it until someone finds something new. But its how well you apply it that counts, and how much you pay attention and receive it while there.
An intellectual would not be complaining, in fact they'd be out there pursing and achieving their dreams and accept nothing less. Yes its hard times, but if the amount of people that truly want these things..this power.. then hey, high school is free, scholarships to college are easy to come by because there's a lot out there. I often see articles reference top paid ceo's. I think it would be interesting to have an article showing the top paid Frederal employee's and the massive bonus payments they receive.
Come on lets look at the whole picture. I could go on and on about the massive fraud and corruption in the Federal gov. We complain every day about greed but its life and we should look at all of it not just private sector.
