Thats right WE built billionaires.  If it was not for the middle this country, its wealthy, the roads, the bridges, landmarks, the railroads etc. would not be here.  And to say Thanks for the wealth and Our Beautiful America.  The middle gets nothing but disrespect and insults from the 2% and republicans.  They just take and expect more.  They send our young to war unfunded.  They took tax welfare for 10 plus years, shipped our jobs overseas and raise the cost of living and lower wages.  I find this disgusting and unamerican.  Vote Obama.

10 products made in America??? they have that many..wow.. By the way, best products or quality products means nothing when people are out of work....they are not lying then they say China has 19.8% of the "world's market" but the percentage is much higher in countries like Canada and the USA, more like 98% because of course, Mexico and India (second most populated country in the world) doesn't need Chinese products, they also manufacture products cheaply.
When the government first introduced free trade on products manufactured in other countries but not assembled in other countries, companies in North America had assembly plants and people had jobs, paid income tax,  and the countries (Canada and US) and have a clean air quality. Now that anything can be shipped into North America and we have very high unemployment, people are losing their homes and the government is running out of money. The age of retirement is going higher, because they are hoping that everyone dies off before collecting old age pension and there will be less jobs for the younger people, who are already struggling.

You are right on Don - and Missisippi and Alabama would both be good places for them to start - all the folks down there already have really low expectations and no health care so a hundred bucks a week for a few thousand of them would be such an economic boon that Hailey Barbour would have to go back and lay off  the prison inmates that work around the grounds at the capitol.

If Americans would just accept lower wages, manufacturing jobs would return to U.S. soil. Whats wrong with a couple of bucks an hour, they enjoy it in Asia. You wouldn't make enough to have to worry about paying taxes at that wage, and also be still eligible for food stamps at the same time. I think the "right to work states" should take the lead on this one.

we do not have the most billionaires by any stretch most of the worlds billionaires are in hungry budapest region dont ask me why but thats where most of them are

plus as for what we make the best of yes this list sux

we should put fast food chains since most of them did start here so yes the US made the world fat

Apple computer us based company parts from asia

Nike us shoe company shoes made in you guessed it asia

Guess clothing also made in asia

that why these  corps can claim such big profits becuse they pay so little to have it made and shipped then charge an arm and leg to get it to the us and yes they set the retail prices so pair of those 800 shoes only cost them mayby 60 bucks to produce

so basicly we are a cash and carry country we dont do any of the hard work of making it we just sell it

which is sad back in the 50's we were top of our game we made most of our stuff and most of it still works today

What a sad list, with the exception of software and chairs, none of these items are necessary items.

I must say that I am soooo proud that our lighters are number 1!

Here is a better list, and these products are all made in my home state of Ohio, I'm sure there are other well known products made in many other states.

Dannon yogurt, Step2 toys, Smuckers jelly and jams, Duct tape, Sherwin Williams paint, Safeguard, Tide and Zest soap, Eukanuba pet food, Cub Cadet lawn mowers, Fram oil filters, Autolite spark plugs, Energizer batteries, American flags and NFL and college footballs.

Buy American!

Software made in America?  Read the names on Adobe's Photoshop Elements credits on the About screen.

Although the companies may be headquartered in the US, much of the develompent work for commercial software products is done offshore.
