We need term limits.  Change the Senate term to four years, same as the President and two terms.  As of the House, change term limits to four, which added up will be eight years.  We the voters need to rally together to make the change.

Anybody else turn the channel immediately when Bob Corker (R) of the Party of NO tried to air some slime babble about the Benghazi incident? He called it- Benghazi Gate. This DEADBEAT hasn't showed up for work more than 12 DAYS since JUNE, but he has to go on live TV to bash the President. Let's do America some GOOD and start Corker Gate. Where the Hell have you been, Bob? hanging out with the other Party of NO conspirators? Getting a corruption update from Paul Ryan? Just how is the destruction of America by Far Ultra Conservative Klan Evangelist Republican Southerners going? Corker... GET A REAL JOB.

The best thing we can do is vote them out. Most of the congress is old and not working for the people. We hired them so lets fire them. The republicans stated when Obama was elected that they would not pass anything for the country so that he would fail as a president, what a waist of a vote for congress to do that. They don't care about the people of this great country they care only for themselves. Just like blood sucking lawyers do. They might as well be ambulance chasers and not in congress. Want real change vote out your congressman and woman, get new blood in there that will do there job. And we as stupid americans blame the president. It congress we need to blame for not doing what the country needs and just sitting on there butts and getting paid for it.

have you all noticed how even the media will not give the independant runner any coverage in any election position? Even the media has it's price to be bought.

we all have the opportunity to shake things up next week! Let's do it! Out with the old and in with the new. The big problem comes once even the new come in, the lobbyist will get ahold of them and corrupt them in time.

The whole system is a mess and  I have no idea how we will ever clean it up. So much money is collected in taxes in this country along with perks and benefits for the politicians, it just makes everyone greedy.

Leave it to a journalist to write a biased article lamenting  the lack of bipartisan politics.  Yes congress is a problem. The media is also a *huge* problem. They report according to their political bias. If a story doesn't suit a journalist or their organization or presents a political view they don't support, they simply don't report on it.  This is a major problem folks. Most of what is reported as news is really opinion and spin.

After reading the blogs on this site I see the blame game is in full swing.  The politicians have suceeded in dividing the American people into 2 camps, republicans and democrats.  The republicans were in power for 8 years and the only thing the managed to do is enrich their friends.  The democrats have been in power for almost 4 years and the only thing that have managed to do is enrich their friends.  What in the hell is wrong with this picture?  They were elected to take care of the American people, both republicans and democrats.  Have they done this?  NO.  Don't you see what is going on they keep us divided and blaming each other INSTEAD OF HOLDING THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE AND MAKING SURE THEY DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY.  Start a new party:  The party of "common sense" and I can assuse you that if given an exam most policicians, of both parties, would be unable to join as they lack any.

Obama's "plan" isn't to "create" jobs.  His plan is to make more government or government-subsidized jobs.  Trickle-down government isn't the answer, and we just can't afford to continue piling up the national debt.

The reason these folks stay in washington is their not smart enought to make it in the private sector

Lies, lies, lies!  That is about all you hear from these so called "representatives".  They are elected to take care of the peoples business, but seem to be only taking care of themselves and their friends.  Before you start screaming: stupid republican or stupid democrat I am referring to both parties.  Go green,, recycle congress.  Folks, they are only in it for the money.  Term limits!  Oh I forgot only congress can pass that legislation and the only thing they are passing is GAS.

It is time to do the wash...send the current members packing and install some fresh blood.  No more career politicians whose only priority is to line their bank accounts with kickbacks and money from the lobbyists.  While we are at it, no more lobbyists.  It's time to put the government back into the hands of the people, not the greedy bastards we have in there now!

Sound like the teachers union in any state so what is the problem? We give them yearly salary increases, they have gold plated benefits, they produce nothing tangible. They are not held accountable for their actions, they retire with big phat pensions, they have life time employment (at least we can vote out congress not so with a teacher). They both demand more and more monies from the taxpayer regardless of their economic conditions. So the point is it is not that unusual to find many people out side of Congress who also are living the dream, off the poor taxpayers backs.
