Should be titled: 5 Cities where you will find the most Obama voters

It is only going to get worse. The food stamp President has encouraged employers to cut hours from 40 to 30 because of Obamacare. This will cause middle and low wage earners to make less, and the result will be more poverty.

The democraps have decimated blacks by relying on more and more welfare. Have bastard children and get more benefits. .

The so called "War on Poverty" has been an abysmal failure in most people's eyes, but those mired in it continue to vote for those that will keep the gravy flowing; the Democrats.  Brilliant plan by the liberals as it ensures them constituents for life.  Benjamin Franklin was spot on when he said:  "When the people find they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic."  We are there now with the 47% leading the charge......

It's all Obama's fault--all talk and no show from a lowly Chicago political stooge.  But then again, who are the "poor" and how do they live??   You ever see a skinny welfare mom--they are almost all obese.   Why work (and become "not poor" when you sit on your azz all day and get a good welfare check, food stamps, assisted housing, free school lunches for all your kids, free food at food banks, free food on holidays, etc. etc.   Actually most are fat cus they don't work.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Illinois, they are asking: "where is our village idiot"?

The war on poverty will never be won until those living in it, WANT to get out from under.

You continue to throw money at the problem and it only escalates.

When Martin Luther King had his "Dream" 70% of black babies were born into 2 parent households

Today over 70% of black babies are born to single mothers.

2/3's of all babies born to women under 30 in this country, regardless of race, are born to single mothers.

Poverty. or is it just voting for a living. and calling it no opportunities while sitting home watching a 60" TV and getting fat on food stamps while talking on a Obama phone..

In case you all don't know what is beginning to happen in the media lately.... Obama's numbers are in the 30's.  He got caught up with all of the leftist socialist agenda falling to pieces as it always does.  He is done, and out.  What the leftists are now doing with their controlled media is to speed up the subliminal turning of americans against their government and economic system.  They are slowly coming to a point out of desperation where they are pretty much overtly pounding the U.S. systems and ways of life, and our free market economy.  If you look at a page like this you will see no news about Obama or any of the failed programs or corruption activities of the past seven years... only negative articles about government, success, personal liberties, personal freedoms.... Little articles about the government needing to force people to save, the government needing to control your health care and personal information, the government failing to do things that people have always been expected to do themselves, the removal of common sense... and most of all, articles that give americans an untrue feeling of hopelessness and desperation.. leading them to so many feelings of insecurity and not being able to take care of themselves... they will be all the faster to turn themselves over to the control of what will be presented as the new world order caretaker government.  It doesn't work people, socialism does not work, giving up your liberties and rights does not work.   You must invest time to determine your government in this construct of ours... you cannot simply read propaganda driven headlines, or listen to a teacher with their own hidden leanings and believe they are giving you all the information you need for an informed decision.  And those decisions of how government will operate to preserve your liberties, freedoms, and individuality itself require an effort on your part to find the truths.  Have a great day.

They'll let you comment on this but not the rich-billionaire loopholes the democrats love.................see "tax break saves richest billions" on this same page. But instead they let us talk about their goal of escalating the income difference...............deflect and divide............especially divide.

Hypocrites are rampant in the liberal agenda.

The war on poverty has to be an individual endeavor and has to start from the years of youth. One can not continue to blame society, our parents, the fact that we happen to be the middle child, not affluence for sure, nor any other common excuses. Pigs get used to the sound of the trough as it gets filled to get up to eat, when that happens to the homo sapiens and their famously developed brain poverty sets in for years on end.

The keys: Work, Education, Early mornings, Go against the grain, and Make every day count. Of course, there are many more, but these are my favorites when posting a rant.

People keep themselves poor. CASE CLOSED!!! The only people you have to blame are yourself and your parents. You created your own situation. If you don't like it, do something about it besides crying "it's not fair"!!!!

First ask yourself if these cities are run by Democrats, then you'll have your answer and know why they are poor.

You know why cities run by Democrats are poor along with their people?  Because Democrats believe in spreading the pain and misfortune equally among its people and concentrating the wealth within themselves and their voting base.  I'm not sure where they got that mentality from or where they even thought that was a good thing.

Cities that end up in harsh times are those who taxed the hell out of there citizens. Look in separate cities, the neighborhoods that are in disrepair "ARE" because of the local property taxes, that's used for more cops and fire etc. It sucks money from people who would have used that money to maintain the property.  The laws that the cops chase around are the ones that have a fine attached to them.  A robber busts up your house ,the cops go look for speeders to make money.  If you ask how search for robber is going they say were working on it.

[BRIEFING.COM] There hasn't been much change on the surface over the past 30 minutes, but the Nasdaq has returned to its flat line in a move that coincided with the biotech group surrendering its gain. The iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (IBB 221.98, -0.75) is now lower by 0.3%, while the health care sector sports a slim loss of 0.2%.

Elsewhere, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.2%) is being kept below its flat line by significant losses in a handful of large components. ... More
