What happened to ATT with more coverage than any other phone company, except for the dropped calls in mulitple cities they claim they have coverage in.  Or the multiple answers you get if you call them depending on who you get.  I had ATT for years.  My wife also had ATT and we decided to get a family plan.  It took me 7 hours over three days to negoiate putting my wife on my plan.  Absolutely stupid people there.  I figured out I just had to keep calling until I found the right person to address the problem.  A totally screwed up company

Citi Bank offered American Airline miles for a deposit of $10,000.00.  I thought free airline miles and all i have to do is keep the money in for 4-6 months.  I did this and got the points.  Then at the END OF THE YEAR, I get a 1099 from Citi Bank for their made up worth of the points they gave me to the tune of $625 dollars.  Which figures out to me paying $125 dollars in taxes.  This scam cost me $125.00 minus the $2.00 i earned in interest so the final cost was $123.00 out of my pocket.  Citi paid a cheap price for the AA points but told IRS it valued them at $0.025 per point.  They SCREWED many unsuspecting new customers.  Needless to say, I will NEVER put a dime into Citi Bank again.  Investors BEWARE of any monies you put into Citi Bank.  Citi Bank is as slimy as they come.

Many of these companies-Time Warner, ATT etc have horrible customer service--why.. because they outsource their calls to other countries.  When you call to get help,, there is little to no communication and someone who you cannot understand and is speaking off a script.  Its time we start boycotting these companies who outsource jobs in America to other countries.  Lets put Americans back to work (smart ones please) and MAYBE people will feel better.  I recently had an experience with a large internet printing company--Vista Print--they have EXCELLENT customer service and the people who answer your call COMMUNICATE with you and don't read off a script.  They work very hard to make sure the issues is resolved.  They have my business for life due to this... SO REFRESHING.  NO I DON"T WORK FOR THEM or own stock etc,, just sick and tired dealing with call centers that are not even located here in the US and the lack of communication.  They cannot communicate, they don't understand what is going on and they don't care---this is all reflected back on the company they represent.

I'm not their customer, but I can't see how T-Mobile, who puts Carly Folkes on my TV screen six times every night, now in her fuschia-trimmed black leathers, can possibly be bad for America.  OK, she's Canadian, but Carly alone is worth promotion to the Second Five Worst.  I limp along with AT&T wireless service, but part of me stifles an impulse to put $50 in a plain envelope and send it to T-Mobile just to thank them for their choice of commercial spokesperson.

Where's Microsoft on this list?  I installed Windows Vista and it was total #$#@.  It took me days of time to recover from that...days of billable hours to recover.  Not even a "I'm sorry you're having trouble" from MSFT support.  Then there was Windows 7.  Not quite as bad, only took about 6 hours to get it working properly and an hour on the phone with support...had to pay MSFT for that "support".  I recently started using Microsoft CRM...what a total mess!!!!  Finally, I've included MSFT stock in my portfolio.  It is the lowest yielding stock in my package.  MSFT should be top of the list.

i do agree that those are some of the worst companies in the US but AT&T should be on that list. i upgrafed my phones from Iphone 4s to galaxy note 2 and they told me i couldnt have my unlimited package no more. 8 years i was with AT&T always had unlimited with my smart phones with them and cuz i upgraded i loss out on something it bull and the 4G network would cut in and out in my area. There reasoning was well you wont have the Iphone no moer so you wont need unlimited, well moved onto sprint same phone unlimit everyhting for cheaper a month and i have 4G all the time. and i just recived a letter from AT&T asking for the note 2 i paid 299 for back and if i dont give the phone back ill be charged the 700 the cost after i already paid the 299 wen i upgraded

When I worked for JCPenney's I made pennies as paycheck. I would be promised by the director over my department that I would make more money but after a year I threw in the towel. Our store located in Dallas Tx was just not interested in happy employees and honestly I don't think there were any. Penney's had good quality merchandise then but who can live off nothing? I only went back one time after quitting and that was to pick up my non existent paycheck. Sorry JCP its time you got your up and comings.

Samsungs customer service is the worst I have had to deal with.  There warranty sucks when it comes to TV's.  It took them six weeks to deliver me a another TV.  Plus they could not find anybody in my area to repair the one that broke the second time.  There always sorry for the inoncience, but little action. I will never buy another Samsung product.

Verizon is theeeee absolute worst company in the country in regards to customer service and their lame service and hidden fees etc. I was never told about the cancel fees on my Droid or hot spot that I had to purchase..once I called customer service, I basically got "oh, well"

Hate is directed at companies rather than the US Government is wrong.  All that is wrong with America is caused by the US Government, the Government does it all and has all the control, so how can yopu blame companies?

Bank of America/ Merrill Lynch belong at #1 worst.  Followed closely by Cheaspeake Energy.  Both are run by white collar crooks.

Tmobile on this list is complete BS.. So the deal with AT&T fell through, great for us who have Tmobile and those who work for them or else as AT&T is notorius for is firing or scaling back.

I have had Tmobile for over 13yrs not one instance of poor customer service or outage and if I did they would always give me credit or fix the problem. I have known more than enough who have AT&T and hate them, sorry customer service and beyond, and Sprint still lags behind with NO true 4G or LTE, where as Tmobile has one of the fastest 4G networks and is rolling out there LTE.

So to the Author do your homework before you decide to choose who is worst?? And read up on what Tmobile is doing to inhance there network and also the fact I can take my phone and have service interruption to Europe and get straight onto Deustche Telecom.

[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market has languished today, yet it's a stretch to say that sellers have been in total control of the proceedings.

The A/D line at the NYSE favors decliners by a slim 8-to-7 margin; meanwhile, advancers are actually ahead of decliners at the Nasdaq by nearly an 8-to-5 margin.

Those A/D lines pretty much sum things up in the sense that they convey some mixed trading action, which has persisted for most of the day.
