VIDEO ON MSN MONEY
Wow, I see babies drinking Baby Formula, then kids drinking Coca-Cola, then the cram for finals and drink energy drinks, wonder how the heck they are gonna pay off the student loans and pick up smoking and texting and downloading apps!!!
I own now, and have in the past, bar/restaurants in smaller towns and Coca-Cola has BY FAR the worst customer service I have ever seen..............."make the most money for the stockholders". I have not seen a "rep" in 4 years. I have not been contacted (other than corporate wondering what my next pop order will be). This company does not even ask "how is your business" or "can we serve you better" EVEN BY PHONE !!! But they sure want that next dollar.
My problem (and I'm trying to fix that) is MY customers don't like Pepsi products with their liquor.
I have several product vendors that call on me EVERY WEEK but coca-cola is too busy making money to mess with the little guys and since Warren Buffet is now a major stockholder you can bet they're not going to bother with me now.
on a scale from 0-10, I rate Coca-Cola a 00000.
Short sightedness that the cash cow will live for ever and the margins will never erode - Stupid.
R&D the next cash cow, Market the company as a whole (not as a single item), Manage your Product Lines and People, worry less about shareholder dividends with short term gains and think long term.
Now that's Business 101
