Another class warfare article for the election year. MSN has become so predictable. So
sad.

Wow, don't you love these forums where people weigh in with their "opinions?" Anyway, generosity is a virtue whether you are "wealthy" or, "poor." What someone does with their money is their business until the government decides it's time to "spread the wealth." Ill gotten gain is something else altogether but, time takes care of that as well. So, while we read articles like this it's best to remember what real happiness is all about, good health, good friends, standing right with the Lord and, knowing that nothing we have in this life is ours in the first place.

I would make people I love smile, and help those in need, and try to remain anonymous. :)

If someone earns their money then they can spend it like they want. Don't people who have less money spend it the way they want?? That doesn't mean that I'd spend it on high ticket items if I had it, but to each his own. I'd want to help others. But, I don't agree with helping others who don't help themselves. I help people everyday who live on the government... some definitely need the help and then others seem to just take advantage of it, fuss when they don't get a 'raise', and spend it on drugs, alcohol and bullcrap instead of providing for their own children, etc. Do you know how long it's been since I got a really good raise?? I've worked in non-profits for the past 10 years cause I want to help others... it's not for a high paycheck that's for sure. Why should the wealthy be penalized and expected to spread the wealth? Many millionaires are first generation millionaires and they build their companies from the ground up... they worked their rears off to get their money, so why don't they deserve it? How do you think there are so many places that help the poor, the homeless, etc? People give everyday. I am not rich by any means and I give all the time, my money, my clothes/household items, and time... We have a choice unless you have a disability that prevents it to be what you want to be. People claim they don't have the money... well, hello, most people take out school loans and then go to college, then you get a JOB and pay them back and over time if you're smart with your money and not waste it on crap like worrying about whether you have the latest phone, tv, newest car, or other crap you will have money. Some people may not make the best decisions with their money, rich or poor, and some of you may think buying these expensive things is horrible... and that you would do it differently. Well, I think it's stupid when someone goes out and leases/buys a car every few years, or has to have the latest I-phone, or has to have a big screen tv especially when they don't have the money. Live simple and you will have more... Read the books: Financial Peace and The Millionaire Next Door...

People say there are no jobs... there are jobs... why not get something, it's better than nothing right??

How can a radio show host afford a $19 million dollar Ferrari? I'm in the wrong business. Hell, the wrong country all together.

In a nation of beautiful Taj Mahal its crazy that so much should be spent on something looking like a shanty house in a slum.

Why couldn't your son buy his first car like most kids his age by working for it?

Can you spell   SPOILED KID ?

Most of you people are morons, absolute morons. Most of the world's wealthiest people give MASSIVE sums of money to charitys every year, more than most of us will ever make in our lives. They also pay more per year in taxes then, again, most people will make in their entire lives. So, before you idiots bash successful people, maybe you should get to know some of them, and try to do the same for yourself.

Think of all the stupid crap everyone buys everyday. If someone gets a $500 paycheck every week and spends $50 of it at the bar on friday night (very common) they just spent 10% of their income on something stupid. If someone makes $50,000,000 a year and spends $365,000 on a car for thier kid, they just spent less than 1% of their income.

Would simply buy a modest home, put money into a trust for each of my four children with a clause they have to go College... ensuring they could support themselves with pride.  Also making it impossible their spouses could collect if my child dies... to protect them. Money is nice to have but then life struggles make us better people.

Xinta the Idiot- You would spoil your child until he became a rotten piece of self entitled a-hole? I wouldn't want to ruin my kid that way. And no, it's not jealousy. lol Some people need to learn there is more to life than money. It's sad that you would want to contribute to making our society more shallow and vapid. Bravo?

Personally, I would prefer to make a difference in my community, society and the world and be remembered for that, rather than driving some 350k high maintenance car and creating a high maintenance brat.

It amazes me how divided our country has become in 3 short years.  Yes, it IS obvious that MSN has motive behind stories such as this.  This "class warfare" has ballooned into an unnecessary division of our country for 1 reason and 1 reason only....  to convince the "99%" to re-elect the guy that has ballooned our debt to out of control status.  Once he's in office for his second term, all Hell will break loose.  Taxes WILL go up, entitlements WILL go up and cronies WILL be paid off.  Shame on you, MSN, for escalating this nonsense.  Let the wealthy (it's their freaking money!) spend their money on whatever they want too.  Did you ever stop to think that whatever they buy, SOMEONE makes a profit, deploys a payroll to their employees that HAVE a job and that TAXES are paid on their purchases??  Drop this crap already!

And we don't need to tax the rich more in this country?

Yes, we do cause clearly they have money to waste.

If I had the money he spent on that car I could pay off all my debt, build a house and still be shitting in high cotton!

The haves and the have  nots.  This just shows some people have more money than they know what to do with, and I bet they don't eat Ramen noodles ever.
