These ideas looked good on paper, but headed to the product graveyard after consumers passed.

Go buy kosher Coca-Cola (yes they make this) which is still made with real sugar, since chemically trans-mutated corn sugar isn't considered kosher, and take a taste test with regular Coke. Is there enough taste difference that consumers would have caused a stink?
As an employee of a grocery store (back in the day) I warned people about Olestra and its **** leakage. 99% of people didn't know about the side affects and promptly chose not to buy the chips. Of course my manager overheard and threatened to fire me stating it wasn't my place to warn customers about potential **** leaks.
God forbid someone do the right thing at the cost of profit.
"side effects". So sick, so very fast.
Wish someone would sue over these, but they are really bad.
