Charles and Ray Eames, designer of the Eames Lounge Chair pictured designed some of the most iconic chairs in history of chairs.  The five point foot of a chair was originated by these couple.

Except for the lounge chair (there maybe another one or two), all of their chairs were designed to be m****duced using inexpensive materials (plywood, plastic etc) so it will be cheap and affordable to everyone.  Herman Miller made it so expensive (cheapest is 299 for a molded plastic chair, upholstered DCW will set you back up to 2Gs).  It took the Chinese copying Eames design for them to be affordable - basically fulfilling the Eame's wishes.

I survived for eight months once on nothing but Twinkies and Hostess cup cakes because it was all I could afford, However, When they made a come back,  I find the new ones lacking, and I've found I don't need the sweets anymore...

Deckie, you CAN get the old cartoons [Merrie Melodies, Casper, Warner Brothers, Tom and Jerry, etc.] on DVD and these are the ORIGINAL cartoons, NOT THE CHOPPED UP, WATERED-DOWN PC versions.

I know because a LOT of people I know have these collections, and they ENJOY them immensely.

While several Hostess products have made a comeback, I have to wonder if this was the plan all along. They are noticeably smaller and more expensive. I think my family will take a giant pass ....
