And as for all the racist comments about immigrants and non-whites being the big problem claiming that they are democrats and  don't work  -- Did you see the people in Mississippi, Florida, Kentucky, and other southern states being interviewed during the election?  They were toothless, ignorant, welfare, porch pig, white trash.  And they were all republicans who hated Obama strictly because he is black.   Give me a break.  BTW, I am a white, well-educated , proud democrat.  If you study the 'happy' countries, you will find high taxes and lots of government benefits designed to help the people -- not the 1% elite.

This has NOTHING to do with the current administration! Its OUR lifestyle! We did not make the list under Bush either. Part of the problem is people who blame whoever is in the White House without looking for other reasons why we are not the happiest country in the World! But nice try!

Its the people of the country that make or break it. Most people are lazy, they spend way too much time following the trash on TV. They waste money on things that they cannot afford or need. And most important of all the young are not encouraged to do well in school. More importance is given to football players and basketball players and everyone wants to be on TV. That is bringing down the country. Ignorance and being stupid is celebrated and that is the saddest thing.

We seem to have lost all pride in our work ethic.  We have lost our standards of morality.  We make celebrities of totally unworthy people. We elect corrupt politicians.  We reward laziness, incompetence, rudeness, and inefficiencies because we, ourselves, are too lazy to call people accountable for their actions.  We are more concerned on being politically correct than demanding what is acceptable.  We deserve what we are getting.Until we as individuals stand up and confront.......soured milk will continue to rise to the surface.  You guys are looking way too deep into this.

- When was the last time when a waitress ask if the meal was good, when it was a mediocre or poor meal and you said it was OK?

- When was the last time when the front desk clerk at a hotel/motel was good: and you had just stood in ankle deep water and you said it was OK?

- When was the last time when you called your cable company and they said they would be out between noon and 5:00pm and you said it was OK?

- When was the last time you waited for over an hour for your doctor/dentist appointment and you said it was OK?

- When was the last time you took back a food product to the grocery store because it was spoiled, or opened, some other way unfit?

- When was the last time you called your state agency because you thought the gas pump was in error?

- When was the last time you called your doctor's office to question a bill that should have covered by insurance?

- When was the last time you cancelled a service (like a newspaper) when they consistantly failed to deliver?

- When was the last time you fired a landscaper/lawn service because they failed to show up on time?

- When was the last time you walked out of a store leaving a full grocery cart because they had insufficient lanes open for check out?

- When was the last time you called the national headquarters of a local company to complain about local service?

- When was the last time you called local TV, radio station, newspaper help line to complain about local business and government shortcomings?

- When was the last time you called up your state representatives and reamed them a new ****?

- When was the last time you called up you federal representatives and reamed them a new ****?

- When was the last time demanded a price check on an item you were sure you were being overcharged for?

- When was the last time you questioned one of your employees and let them slide on a fluff answer.

- When was the last time one of your employees said, "it is what it is " and you let that go...........SHAME ON YOU!!!!

So it's the White House making us unhappy, really??? You sound like all the people waiting on hand outs from the WH.  This used to be a do something country. Now we do nothing and expect everything. Wake up!!!!! You want this country to be a better place? Change it. DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING, but you won't will you???? I think not, you'll just to continue to sit around and expect others to do it for you. If you're that unhappy, LEAVE, GET OUT, we  don't need you. Go to one of the happy countries. LOL.

This piece of "news" propaganda brought to you by the same agency that is running a top article about how space aliens will choose people on earth as their main food source.  Just great.

We didn't get like this under Obama, you morons. We have been digging out of the near economic collapse of 2008 when Bush with the help of the democratic Congress almost took us to the brink of economic disaster. Obama inherited the bills for that entire past decade. We actually are doing better than expected. You can't clean up all those years of mismanagement in four years and maybe not in eight, but at least he is trying!

Nice article MSN / NBC.... pointed out that entire stable political system and freedom thing.  Now lets see, U.S. becoming a socialist nanny state with limited freedoms, and we are sliding down the happy scale.... hmmmm... I think your Obama propaganda may have backfired on you there.  Truth is these countries have small populations, are not part of the bigger europe in the west and south, and they don't exactly take in the poor and meek for the most part.  Also, their populations are very small, and they have lots of money coming in that is fleeing the rest of the world because of high taxes... oops, did I make another "maybe this is whats wrong with Obama" statement?  Or California, or New York, or... Hey, nice article, those people have it so so good... sure they do, lots of upper class, lots of people living like rats at the bottom without much middle class, and worst of all, they don't want you going there unless you got some money to bring along.....  Get the real story.

NOTE: all countries with low populations and almost 0% diversity....i think it's time they step up and open their borders as we have....wait 5 years....take this survey again....it's the least they could do with all that prosperity and happy

Who cares what someone else says?  I'm happy and healthy.   We are not a SAD COUNTRY!  We are Blessed and Highly Favored.  People need to speak LIFE over their country and their situation.  Speak Blessings and not Curses !  The bottom line is 'WHAT DO YOU SAY? ".

And regardless of what 'they' might say....I have traveled the world and there is No Place like these United States of America !!!

[BRIEFING.COM] The headlines generally favored Tuesday being another good day for the stock market.  Instead, it was just a mixed day with modest point changes on either side of the unchanged mark for the major indices.

For the most part, the stock market was a sideshow.  The main trading events were seen in the commodity and Treasury markets, both of which saw some decent-sized losses within their respective complex.
