I loved going to Woolworth when I was young. The best part was getting something to eat at the lunch counter. It was a great store....

I remember saving up my 50 cent a week allowance for several weeks so that my buddies and I could get up early on a Saturday morning and ride our Sting Ray bicycles down to our nearest Woolworth store just to "hang-out", look at girls, buy squirt guns and eat hamburges and drink sodas in their food court. Sometimes we wouldn't go home until dinner time and only sooner if we ran out of money. Simpler, safer times for kids.

Woolworths was a great meeting place for your teens to gather and eat hamburgers and drink Cherry or Vanilla or Chocolate Cokes. And they made the best Banana Splits. What ever happened to the candy Bit o Honey? "Bit o Honey goes a long long way. If you one head, it will last all day"

Did anyone mention Plymouth Valiant? I drove one for years.  When I first got it, it was my only car. Then, later on, it became my work car. I drove it back and forth to work for almost 20 years.

When I was pregnant, in 1970, I drank nothing but TAB.  When my daughter was born, I named her Tracy Amanda--and our last name begins with a B.  It was many years later I realized what I had done!  She recently wondered what had happened to the drink, and actually found something labeled TAB, but said it tasted awful and was labeled as some sort of energy drink.

[BRIEFING.COM] Quiet action continues with the S&P 500 once again probing fresh intraday highs. Nine sectors saw corresponding upticks as the benchmark average neared its current levels. The only exception was the utilities sector, which remains near its lows.

The utilities sector has been the subject of some selling in recent weeks. The high-yielding space is down 3.6% this week, and lower by 6.7% so far this month. Nasdaq -12.23 at 3447.19... NYSE Adv/Dec 824/2056... Nasdaq ... More
