On top of all this, they have Premier Health Insurance "FOR FREE" get grants if they claim they have a farm even if it only has one cow and my list could go on and on.  Why do you think they bailed out out these companies like GM and Wall Street, because they have a vested interest in them, they do not let us bail out or get a second chance if we mess up!  But, that is why I only buy Ford, they recovered on their own "Without" Bailout support from the government and I will always respect that of them.

The biggest thing though that people seem to go brain dead on, is the fact nothing gets done in Government (except of course, voting themselves wage increases) is they want to keep us average Americans poor and needy and it does not matter if you are a DEM or a Republican, this is the agenda and is what will kill our Country.

Just like with this Global Warming, yes, the world has done some damage, but the world has gone through ice ages, devastating years of extreme heat, and floods for eons of years.  When I was a kid and went to the beaches and saw all these homes feet away from waves, always thought they were stupid to build there and claiming Hurricane Sandy was caused by Global warming is ignorant and would have (and has) happened.  Global Warming is just another money making agenda they need to not only make more money, but to try and bring jobs back to America, wont happen though, as China will take this from us too due to the greed of our Government for more money

 They are elected to serve the people, not them selves...... These fools are sooooooo out of touch with what working really means and paying bills with little money is all about. 

 

America, wake the hell up and get rid of these POS's and put new ideas and blood in OUR congress and senate............  They all need to go.  If we, the people keep voting these morons back into office, we deserve what we get, so stop complaining.........​.......

Funny how the Dems have convinced voters that the Republicans are just wealthy Jerks and out of touch with the average JOE, yet 7 in the top ten of wealthy Congressional Members are Dems, verses only 3 Republicans.  Out of the total 19 "Richest Members" 14 are Dems verses only 8 Republicans and only solidifies that Dems are the bestnd biggest liars of all Political Members and proves their agendas are to do what ever necessary to "Rule" America and bring her to ruin...

About half have incomes and investments totaling far more than $250K. Is it any wonder they've not
supported a tax increase for those above that income? Good luck getting them to come together on a vote for a increase on themselves.

One doesn't have wealth in stocks and bonds and the like unless one has a whole helluva lot to begin with, and so can afford substantial losses. Such investors, members of Congress and Wall Street brokerages and banks aren't investors like you and I. They never really risk very much. Which is one more reason no one elected to public office should be allowed to own any kind of investment. (Blind trusts are not, of course, really blind, and so just one more fraud perpetrated on taxpayers/voters.)

Obviously, elected officials are grossly overpaid, though not nearly so much as pro athletes and other entertainers, not to mention the thieves who thrive on Wall Street. When I was a kid all these types were taxed to the hilt, as they ought have been. Sadly, having won the class war by way of the Reagan Revolution, they mostly no longer pay taxes at anywhere near the rate of the average worker today, and so their income is also largely tax-free. What's more, members of Congress continue to be paid even after they're out of office and for the rest of their lives.

In reality, they live in a different country, one other than the one the people they claim to represent live. There are two Americas: one with maybe 5% of the population, the other containing 95% of the the population.

The only mystery is why it is that the 95% are so wiling to tolerate this divide, indeed actively support it by continuing to vote for these deadbeats. Federal and state workers who are not elected and who are lower echelon do the vast majority of the actual work that needs doing, while the elected officials do not much more than talk, and after departing from office talk only when paid ridiculous amounts to talk.

There is zero democracy in any workplace, meaning none in America in general. The democracy that really counts would be, should be in the workplace, but there is none there.

Recommended to all is Richard Wolff, not the guy writing for the glitzy magazine, but the economics professor, on the topic of democracy in the workplace. Owners and top managers need not apply, since not necessary. Workers can own and operate businesses by themselves and run them more efficiently. Best of all, everyone partakes of any and all profits. That would be real democracy such that at some point in the not-too-distant future, neither state nor federal government would any longer be necessary, nor would nation-states per se. Communities where were located democratic workplaces would also make decisions concerning their own communities.

Defense complexes are necessary only if given to war-mongering.

One thing is certain, a nation in which the relative number of wealthy grows ever smaller and in which more and more of those who rule are among the obscenely wealthy is doomed to economic failure. Wealth is relative (to cost of living) and therefore requires vast poverty (someone has to pay, or rather be exploited). The only remaining question is when are we going to wise up?

Just watch what magically happens to their net worth during their terms.

THAT IS WHY WE NEED TERM LIMITS.

 

SENATORS: TWO TERMS THEN OUT. CAN'T RUN AGAIN FOR 25 YEARS

 

REPRESENTATIVES: 6 TERMS THEN OUT. CAN'T RUN AGAIN EVER.

I would love to know the real truth. I do know that in 1992 there were 27 millionaires. Of the 27, 21 were Democrats. Sort of brings a tear to your eyes when you hear tax the rich.
