These are fast food stands!  Restaurants in my mind have chefs, and warm inviting atmosphere, and entrees made from fresh ingredients, an appetizing presentation, and served by a waiter or waitress with a touch of class.  I love eating at truck stops!!  LOL!

These qualify as restaurants????  I thought Starbucks was for coffee...when did they start serving sit down meals?  What a bunch of bunk!

hear about the restaurant that opened up on the moon? the food is terrific but there's no atmosphere.

a man walks into a restaurant and asks the cook,'how do you prepare your chickens'?
the cook says,'nothing special.we just tell them they're gonna die.

Yeah, it takes about as much to be a writer at MSN as it does to be an employee at most of these places.

These are not RESTAURANTS, they are fast food joints of mainly poor food.

MSN as usual, taking through their butts.

Most popular doesn't mean the best food. I just read where MKd's is trying to change it's junk food image by coming up with more healthy cuisine because sales are flat lining. The last time I ate at one was a few years ago.  The chicken sandwich was some bland compressed product on a stale bun. I can also remember when Subway used real meat and non plastic rolls. Their stuff has become quite processed the last few years.

Dunkin Doughnuts has been on the west coast for decades and most of them have closed. Another poorly researched bunch of BS.

the year is 2014 and they're talking about the year 2020, they seem to be getting a little bit ahead of themselves.

These are just Fast Food Enterprises. If a waitress doesn't bring me a Menu and take an order it hardly a Restaurant. They are talking a little over 5 years out and even a Billions a year business can go tits up in a year to year and a half.

All of these restaurants are quantity vs quality... I guess if you twist data enough, it can, indeed, produce the desired results. Especially if you twist the words as well.

What really stopped me from being able to eat at McDonald's was learning about the ammonia added to their hamburgers.  I've also heard about what actually goes into the Chicken McNuggets.  27 ingredients---I can't remember how far down the list chicken is.  Maybe we're at the bad end of the Industrial Revolution as it pertains to packaged, convenience foods and fast food outlets.  I'm sure that the current epidemic of diabetes, cancer and obesity is just a coincidence.
