Why doesn't the gay marriage crowd understand that a person can respect someone's belief, but still disagree with it. If you want to marry someone of the same gender...do it...don't beat me over the head with it until I agree with it. I do respect it.

How's about we all as a country concentrate on turning this economy around and restoring some semblance of "America" for posterity and FORGET about trying to judge companies and other Americans to appease a very small MINORITY of citizens about their "rights".....I'M JUST SICK OF IT!

A recent national poll indicated that LESS THAN 5% of Americans are gay or bi-sexual when asked the question.  IT IS ABSURD that we are wasting precious time and energy on appeasing a small part of tail WAGGING THE DOG on this topic when our very existence is in peril!

Why is this a big issue???  Is this to divert people from the real and more pressing problems that exist?  I am not gay, I do  have friends who are...Its their choice, their business, why does it need to be made a big deal.? I really don't want govt recognizing me for any of my choices anyway...Just because the state or US govt says its ok,  it validates your love for you partner.? There are gay friendly churches if you want to be recognized in a spiritual manner.

Either you believe in equal rights for all or you don't. If you don't your un-American.

Let me start by saying, I am a God fearing woman... This however has nothing to do with that!

Strange to think that there's such a large controversy over "freedom" - My question to those of you who feel homosexuality/marriage is wrong... Would you not throw stones at someone who feels slavery is acceptable, Would you not throw stones at someone who threatens womens rights? Its no different than the limitations you are suggesting we continue to put on these couples. Sounds outrageous to think of segregation in the year 2012 and if you step back in the mirror you may realize you are absolutely suggesting something as absurd - shame on you. In America, people have pushed the envelope time and time again with the hopes of equality... If you can differentiate between equality in the color of our skin, gender - why can't you accept the difference between how/who someone loves. Seems pretty insignificant to me!

My advice to you: Grow up and acknowledge that life is everchanging. In the year 2012 our greatest issues are far from 'Gay Rights' - Open your eyes!

This is to show support and saftey for gays shopping expeirence.

What about us straight yellow pages?

I have had to run into some gays that were just as rude to me because I didn't fit the bill.

Everyone wants to yell, Gay RIghts.... What about Straight rights in not having to hear this crap!?

Someday there will be a cure for gayness. Until then I wish they would go back into their closets. Gay marriage, gay rights, gay pride, how can ya be proud of being gay? Just makes no sense. I guess gays have no clue as to their affliction. Sad but true...........Alas...........

If obama supports it you know it cant be right; anything for a vote, but it won't be enough!  I think any support for an immoral act will come back and bite you on the a$$!

Anyone who thinks sodomy is an acceptable life style, is morally bankrupt.

The President can give his OPINION on anything - that does not make it a law and it certainly does not supercede an existing law in a state that bans same sex marriages.  It doesn't matter what you want to hear or what you want the law to be ... until voters change existing laws or pass new ones nothing changes.

This is really becoming a seriously irritating development - the social equivalent of then obnoxious 12 year old brat in the backseet endlessly droning "are we there yet".  Just STFU already!!

Those of you who spew hate toward gay people are the very ones who hide behind "God" as the reason for your disgustng behavior.  You are the WORST examples of showing love and tolerance.  The Bible was written by MEN, back when superstition and ill-placed logic were the norm.  Get off your pulpit and keep your nose out of other people's lives.  You are a disgrace to Christianity.

It shouldn't matter to the stores.  It's just another form of propaganda from the media, forcing the idea to come out, whether the stores care about gay rights or not.  I"M SICK OF THIS GARBAGE!!  WHO cares!!!!!  Why are gays so over represented?  I don't care what they do but I don't want to see it in the news like they are a race of people, they are NOT.

The world needs to wake up; promiscuity and homosexuality is what took down the roman empire and will take down the human race.  People who chose to have sex with a same sex person have a genetic defect and most have been affected by rape/molestation or exposier to some of the afore mentioned in childhood or early adolecence, then therefore carry on a tradition of that behavior and thier true apitite is for pre-adulecents and or children.  Your children are in danger if you befriend a homo or alternative lifestyle indavidual.   YES THERE IS SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE do some real reading about the study of sexuality and sexual preferences, and if you are one, review your life and when you started having those different feelings.

Who care where you stand on this issue.  The fact is private companies can decide what they believe just like you and I.  I get so sick of the whole "you don't agree with me so I'm going to hurt you" mentality.  You have every right to not spend your money at Chick Fil-A or Penny's but no right to ban  them from your town or campus.  Mostly the left that employs these tactics, ironic from the party of acceptance.

Business and Politics need to STOP feeling sorry for the Gays and get them involved with everything that has no business in the first place!  Enough and yes, Obama is a phony, lame and a traitor!

, your right to a point .God is the last voice. However, he does say, "it is an abomination".  Also that we should not live in constant unrepentant sin. What most people need to understand is that the bulk of these business' couldn't care less about them, and more so for the politicians. They are just votes and $ for an agenda. People, live your lives-don't let someone else own ya, and let me live mine. Which means leave your liberal, commie ideas at home. I and my family spent to much time defending the "Republic" to want to suffer any fools.

To the person who didn't complete his/her research on the Hardwick case:

Bowers v. Hardwick, where it upheld a challenged Georgia statute and did not find a constitutional protection of sexual privacy.

Lawrence explicitly overruled Bowers, holding that it had viewed the liberty interest too narrowly. The majority held that intimate consensual sexual conduct was part of the liberty protected by substantive due process under the Fourteenth Amendment. Lawrence invalidated similar laws throughout the United States that criminalized sodomy between consenting adults acting in private, whatever the sex of the participants.

The case attracted much public attention, and a large number of amici curiae ("friends of the court") briefs were filed. Its outcome was celebrated by gay rights advocates, who hoped that further legal advances might result as a consequence.

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 ended this week with a bang, roaring to a new all-time high on the back of stronger-than-expected economic data, influential leadership, and an ongoing appreciation for the Fed's monetary policy support.

The bullish bias was evident in premarket action as the S&P futures pointed to a higher start without the benefit of any definitive news catalyst.  Stocks indeed benefited from a blast of buying interest at the opening bell on this ... More
