Why gun sales are booming
Fears of crime, a potential crackdown on gun owners, a social collapse and even zombies have Americans loading up as never before. Here's why gun sales -- and gun stocks -- have taken off.

I love this forum. Every time guns (religion, politics, defense--you name it) are mentioned, the racists come out in force. Look at the dimwits below; one says Obamaville, another says Obummer--you get the picture.
But it must be hard to write in wearing a white hood with eye holes small enough to hide your identity. How do you guys do it?
What has happened is simple, poor economy equals increased crime. The price of ammo has doubled in 5 years while the cost of a gun has stayed pretty normal. The have given up on attacking gun ownership and are taxing the heck out of the producers to increase the cost of bullets.
I have several guns and a case of ammo for each. Every year we have a fun weekend of clays and run threw our oldest shells. Every year the cost to replace has gone up. The only ammo staying normal is .22 and .22 long. This tells me its not the brass. Beware of wolf in sheep's clothing.
People are buying guns (nd learning to use them) for the same reason I am turning my back yard into a garden (aquaponic, hydroponic, container, and anything else I can think of). They are aware of a nation and government upon whom no one rational can depend, a media that is completely propagandistic, to whom news is merealy a means of controlling opinions and minds, and a society that is as crazy as the proverbial pet coon. Torture by drowning is "waterboarding," killing a baby is "women's health care," your trouble, or difficulty, you pain and sorrow are "issues." And more, ad infinitum.
The nation and its government by nitwit have spent itself sixteen trillions (that another of those euphemistic lies lies I just mentioned) into debt, and the people who did it are telling us their is a political solution. People who think George Washington won the Civil War, Pearl Harbor was a shampoo, and can't write a complete sentence in their native language are going to elect a government - like Barak Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and Diane Feinstein - that will do that.
Et Cetera. That's why they're buying guns - it's like circling the wagons in hostile Indian territory
I am almost 18. When I move out I garentee I will be buying several guns and a few thousand rounds of amo. A plauge, war, goverment collapse. (zombies too?) Something is bound to happen. I want to be prepared with my guns and survival gear. Besides I could trade a single pistol and 100 bullets for a few crates of water and a gallon or two of gassoline for the pickup I would be driving.
Anything like that I grab my stuff steal a pickup and pick up a few people on the street I care about. Then I head across the mississipi any way possible. West of the river and east of the rockys is where no matter what you have a chance to survive.
Good soil lots of animals and you can always fish in a stream or lake. Also if things get worse you can head north into Cannida or into Mexico.
Pro guns pro survival pro fun. PRO SECOND EMENDMENT OF THE USA!!
Come try to take my guns...and you people think you have a terror problem now. To all the anti-gun people...How many times are guns used to prevent deaths or actually save lives?? I bet that is a question none of you have asked yourself...nobody really knows the answer to this question but I have seen studies that have put this number into the millions. Personaly I have carried a gun since i was 14 years old and it has saved my life numerous times. I live in a city where millions of illegals rome the streets and our Mayor welcomes these people...if the federal govt wont enforce laws that are on the books that will keep me and my family safe then why the hell should I follow ANY laws?
Why are gun sales booming? Because gun companies know a good thing when they realize that they can play on the ignorance, hate and fear of people. I have relatives who have more rounds than they'll ever use because they've listened to the lies by the conservatives, the NRA and the gun companies. They've been told Obama will get your guns and that's never happened. If Obama had wanted to "git r' guns" he have done that in the first term, not waited until a second election that he could lose.
So all of you special snowflakes out there who are sure that the "govmint" is going to get your guns, you've been listening to liars and convincing yourself that you are something special. You've been giving money to people who don't give a about you.
'If " he can down size our military, and keep most of them over seas, then under the United Nations he can have other powers take confinscate our firearms. The only thing that has keep our Country safe is the fear of the armed people. With all the execitive orders he has put into place it makes one wonder..... most presidents do about 60 and the other day I heard Obama has done some where in the neighborhood of 900. Talk about big government and too much government.
I just remember what my father use to say (he passed in 1977). America will fall from within. Over the last 4 years I see things being put into place. The American's who wear the blinders and don't think our government will ever do such a thing, are just down right idiots. Its better to be prepared, than to be a fool and helpless. Just look at what happens during a bad natural disaster or a mere snow storm....just remember: Chance Favors a Prepared Mind. And most of all God Bless this Country called America.
the problem is with the gun dealers, and there need to make a profit. selling a gun is easy when you abandon your responsibility to your community it keep the safe, for the paper (money).
Better screening of application is needed and a crack down on dealers selling illegal fire arms that is all.
Just a couple of interesting historical facts.
Fact 1: Have any of you ever wondered why the Japanese stopped at Pearl Harbor, and didn't continue on to the mainland? Clue: It wasn't because they ran out of gas!! Answer: The Japanese General never intended to attack mainland USA because......"there would be an American behind every bush with a gun, and he would know how to use it."
Fact 2: The initial gun control act put into place in the 1960's was WORD FOR WORD the same as the first gun control act put into place in Nazi Germany. And we all know what happened to the citizenry when they finally got all the guns out of those people's houses!!!!!
if as you say take all the guns away then your going to die and the goverment come into your house do what they want read the 2nd amendent you left wing lover but you dont want that you must be one of those young punks kiss my a## obama you s### for brains if he does get reelected look out oh but you left wings want any rights read the patriot it need to be repeled or your screw and you wont your lazy obama help me help me you left wing s### for brains

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 ended this week with a bang, roaring to a new all-time high on the back of stronger-than-expected economic data, influential leadership, and an ongoing appreciation for the Fed's monetary policy support.
The bullish bias was evident in premarket action as the S&P futures pointed to a higher start without the benefit of any definitive news catalyst. Stocks indeed benefited from a blast of buying interest at the opening bell on this ... More
