Guns a sin? No, murder is a sin. Cars, baseball bats, pillows, have all been used to murder, are these items sinful also?  It's even possible to bludgeon someone to death with a statue of the virgin Mary, so with that analogy having a statue of the virgin Mary is a sin.

Yes, a gun in the hands of a "sinful" minded person is a very bad thing.  But 99.9% of all legally owned guns are owned by good law abiding people, even people of faith. Sin is an individual act, a transgression of moral depravity. The sin is the action of the sinner not whatever he uses to commit the sin.

I'm confused and need spiritual guidance. I guess next deer season I'll have to stone the deer to death because I don't want to be a sinner? Are knifes okay or do I have to clean the deer with the same rock I used earlier? Another question is, if I pay sin tax is that like an exorcism? If the sinful stuff is exorcised [taxed] then is everything okay?

Mr. Soul,

I can't agree with you, more.

Why have guns been brought up as a sin?

Shameful....

While the socialists are in power destroying America,  a good investment strategy would be
to buy everything socialists hate, as most Americans flock to buying everything the Socialists
they keep electing are going to try and take from them.  The second best investment strategy, would
be to get off the grid, and work at getting your Grizzly Adams skills in order.  Hunting, skinning,
cooking from scratch, ect......  This is terminal folks.  The fox is in charge of the hen house, and
he's coming for your eggs.

What the hell???    Guns are not a sin.

You left wing nuts try to put a spin on everything.

GUNS SAVE LIVES.   Guns in the wrong hands cause problems, but does this make a gun sinful??

Base ball bats cause damage in the wrong hands, therefore they are sinful!!

How dare you libs. put a spin on guns.  SHAME ON YOU

It is a sad commentary on our society when the ownership of a gun is viewed as a sin. Or perhaps just a sad commentary on Kathy Kristof ability to judge people.

Guns, booze, and fatty foods such as summer sausage are not sins, but the necessities of life. There should be tax on  wedding cakes.

God, please come clean this country of its "sin investors."  They know not what they do.  They seek return on their ivvestment without regard for life.  Just like the "ask your doctor" ads.

NOTE TO CONgress!!!!!!!!!!  If YOU were worth the bread and water to sustain life, you would NOT ALLOW "ask your doctor" ads!!!!!!!!!   Where else can one openly threaten bodily harm and the very life of others so openly as on "ask your doctor" ads?  NOTE TO CONgress!  YOU are the ones to blame!  YOU are boneless!  YOU are wimps!  YOU are despicable!  YOU are disgusting!  Why should YOU have better healtcare than ANYONE else?  Why should YOU have a better retirement system than ANYONE else?   YOU are NOT GOD!

If these things are such a sin. Then why is our government making tens of billions a years from it. Because they know its so dam lucrative. Shame Shame on you Uncle Sammy for taking advantage of us sinners. But the real question we should be asking ourselves is, who are the biggest sinners of all? Those that pay it, or those that get it.

Ok, but the article did not really say why these stocks were better than any other sector (if you call sin a sector).  As if some secret were revealed here.

Guns are not sinful, and for the record, none of these options are valued at a level that individual investors can invest in. They are at the top of their cycle and individual investors can do better than these.
