All celebrities should be penny-pinchers.  They are only as good as their last movie, last song or last show.  Sad to see many blow millions and then be poor after their 15 minutes of fame is up.

Headlines not withstanding, perhaps these particular celebrities, like me, try to maximize their ability to maintain the level of charitable giving to which they aspire.

After reading a story about Allen Iverson making over 200 million during his 15 year NBA career and now he's broke....maybe he should have taken lessons from some of these folks...no investments, savings, nothing. Then again, all the way back before Georgetown, he wasn't one to take advice from anyone because he already knew it all.

Holy effing sh*t!

MSN is on steroids with the anything-celebrity "stories" infiltarting every category of its home page. I'm just waiting for a slideshow to show up here (or on Wonderwall) that ranks the top 10 stars according to flatulence output.

All one sees on MSN lately is "news" regarding arrogant celebrities and their braindead followers who feed  their elitism. Can't even get away from it in the financial section. Deleting MSN from my home page as it has become worse than worthless.

Breaking news!!!!! Dow plummets!!! 200 points!!!!  And the penny pinching "celebs" ain't in CONgress!!!!  I hope the DOW bottoms out!!  Hope it goes lower than it has ever been!  I want this country to crash!!  No, I'm lying.  I really don't want that but I do think it is necessary!!!!!!!! When the freeloaders miss their check, then THEY will throw CONgress out!  The working people (47%) that pay taxes are outnumbered by the 53% that don't.  CONgress has developed a sure-fire way to stay in office! Guaranteed re-election!!! Keep those getting government money in larger numbers than those paying it in.  Guaranteed re-election.  No way to throw them out...but, if the country could collapse, then there would be nothing they could do!!!  Freeloader miss check...CONgress out!!!!  HOORAY!!!!!

Regardless of what they think, I can understand it to a degree I guess, but man I'd love to live on THEIR side of the fence! Try living pay check to paycheck & barely making it for any extra's. (I.E.) These friggin computers that are basically a waste of money would drain you dry every time you HAD to buy a new one.....To them, that's like buying  a damn newspaper C'mon!!  I W-I-S-H I had that luxury!

Hmph.  Please publish the list of "penny-pinching" celebrities who currently live in a home of under 2,500 square feet, take the bus to work, mow their own lawns, or drive an American  car older than 10 years with a resale value of under $10,000, or have over 250,000 miles on it.  Yeah, didn't think so.

I learned about most of the best discount stores in my area from people making well into six-figure incomes.  When I'm in one and comment to strangers next to me something like "I wish they made this half an inch smaller so it would fit in my toaster oven," I find out they're often retired Congressional secretaries or school principals, etc. with fine pensions.  And they often say, "Have you checked out..." and learn of more places including 2nd hand furniture and thrift shops.

I know people who would be embarrassed to be seen coming out of a Dollar Tree or Aldi or Ollie's or even buying store brand food in a supermarket.  Personally, if they see me I expect what they'd be saying to each other is: "See?  That's why he's got more than a couple pennies to rub together."

buffy thinks you should coupon and pay less since someone ELSE is..lol that type of attitude would bankrupt eveyone....why? because everyone would coupon and save loads..these companies would then be making very little thus raising prices.. anyone that coupons should thank the regular paying consumers for paying your way- what do you all think stuff will cost 20 cents and money grows on trees?
