Here's how to sell a plain T-shirt for $120

Kanye West's new clothing line has been snapped up by eager buyers who have no problem shelling out big bucks for simple wear.

'Hip Hop T-Shirt' from the Kanye West A.P.C. Collection (© A.P.C.)You can get a plain white T-shirt from J.C. Penney (JCP) for $6.99. But some people would rather buy one blessed by Kanye West for $120.

Yep, the Hip Hop T-shirt (pictured) from the musician's new collection was an instant hit this week. It's already sold out, in fact. West's nine-piece collection, from French ready-to-wear line A.P.C., was so hot that it crashed the website, People Magazine reports.

The T-shirt is the cheapest thing in the collection and is only slightly set apart from anything on department store shelves by the "A.P.C. KANYE" logo silkscreened in nearly invisible white lettering inside the neckline.

If that doesn't strike your fancy, how about spending $280 for a plain blue hooded sweatshirt from the collection?

People have been known to pay astronomical prices for ridiculously underwhelming clothing before. Consider the $345 T-shirt from Hermes, which at least has the signature "H" logo on the pocket, The Huffington Post notes.

But how will people know you're wearing Kanye West's T-shirt and not the Fruit of the Loom variety? Don't worry, anyone crazy enough to spend $120 on one will figure out a way to drop it into the conversation.

Anyone that pays this much for a t-shirt is out of their mind. I don't care how much money you have, you don't pay $120.00 for a t-shirt.

What's that old saying: A fool and his money are soon parted?

If you have that kind of money to 3 from jpc and donate a $100 to your favorite charity.

Kayne should be paying consumers to wear a tee shirt that is basically advertising for his products.

Having Kayne's name, Herme's H, or any other advertising on your clothes screams out that the wearer is desperate for approval and acceptance.

Never heard of her, is she a famous designer?

Kayne and anyone who buy this T-shirt are idiots.

A white tee shirt for $120, does that go with white socks for $100, & white underwear for $75.  These people are idiots to buy anything clothing or music wise from this racist.

I hear it's designed to hide your undies when you wear your pants around your ankles.   It also reverses in to prison stripes

Designed by a douche for the douches.

I was working on a cruise boat yesterday in Lake Washington (Seattle WA)  and the captain made an announcement about this house on the lake that was purchased for 42 million and then torn down for someone else to build their mansion in it's place. It was interesting to see the disgust from the guests (mostly hardworking people on an employee party) as they heard this bit of info.

This is America. If you're an empty person, wear a designer label. If you hate your life, ruin someone else's. If you want more money than you need, sell t-shirts for 120 bucks and laugh your **** off all the way to the bank. Why is it the most horrid people in this country seem to have the most?

I wouldn't wear a pair of skives with his name on them if I got them for free..... he is a sorry a-hole for his comments aimed at Taylor Swift.

I'll laugh if I see them at Big Lot's soon , matter a fact I'm already laughing ; )

aren't white T's played out like those saggy-assed pants?
Jul 16, 2013 2:47PM
I can tell you the only people buying that crap and it is people who live on the north side and get "free" money from the government anyway....they don't care, it's not their money!  It is yours and mine!  Just what we need, more thugs running around in hoodies.

The  shirt would have to be diamond studded for me to pay that much.  No T shirt is worth $120 I don't care who wears it!  That's so dumb.

hahaha, great.  i saw a good tshirt on for $50 a while back.  it was for a charity, still overpriced.

How many use welfare or unemployment payments to buy this.  West should be embarrassed to sell crap this lame.
