We found some treats that have captivated America, bringing in big bucks for the companies that created them.
And food companies can be very smart about turning a product into a must-have hit. Often, this means cutting back on availability, dangling something in front of us for a limited time before pulling it away again. That's how Starbucks (SBUX) turned the Pumpkin Spice Latte into a seasonal obsession.
There are all kinds of foods that have cult appeal. Gooey marshmallow Peeps, Vegemite spread, chicken and waffles and even Sriracha sauce have devoted followers.
But we found 11 foods and beverages that take the cake (or take the Twinkie, perhaps). These 11 have earned a place in our gastronomic hearts -- and the companies that make them thank us for it.

I wouldn't care how big my Wife's butt got, as long she kept buying me Twinkies; She never ate them and liked other things that were sweet like me...hee,hee.
But now I'm am almost weaned off the "sponge cakes", Bavarian Creme filled stuff now, like the wife.
And we bake our own cakes a lot more..

Twinkies have shot themselves in the foot or their twinkie...?
After about 60+ years as a faithful customer...I am weaning myself off of them with other wanna-be's.
And fed up with their well publicized debacle...
Waited too long for them to return...
And now when they do.....I won't be standing in line to get them...I have cut my habit by 75-80%.
