PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SHOP ON THANKSGIVING!!
Let's be civilized and let our holiday breath.  It is not right to make more people work so $10.00 can be saved.  There is plenty of time on Black Friday.
BOYCOTT THANKSGIVING SHOPPING!!

I've painstakingly laid out my plan for Black Friday. I won't participate.

This is so crazy! We are running around like idiots, looking for "deals" on our holiday? Not me, I have never participated and never will. Don't bend to the corporate America swing! The billionaires will be at their luxury condos, laughing at all of us! Do not participate!

I wouldn't be caught dead in a photo like the one above.  No product is worth it to me.

You'll be sorry if you buy any computer with an old Celeron processor.

all I'm buying on black friday is probably beer and smokes so I can stay home, eat more turkey, practice guitar, watch football, and nap.  four day weekend and I'm not queuing up with a bunch of morons.

Isn't there supposed to be a holiday coming up---like a day before Black Friday?

How about writing an article titled, "Six days to being thankful for the people and things we have."  Does Yahoo, or any other news outlet, remember that people starved, died, and/or left everything they had to allow us the freedoms we enjoy?  It's sad that our society is so materialistic, that a holiday geared toward remembering our fathers is now geared toward standing in line in hopes of "scoring" a piece of crap electronic.

Please take a moment to thank the Lord for his goodness and his hand in all things.

You shouldn't buy most of the electronics crap they put out.  It is cheap for a reason, it is specially made junk just for the sales.  Half of them end up returned.  Save your time and stay home.  The best deals come closer to Christmas anyway.

It actually used to be a happy, fun experience to go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. All the stores had great sales, nobody died in the onslaught of bodies.  It wasn't the frenzied, chaotic mess it is today.  So now that's ruined and it has been for 10 or 15 years now.  No thanks.

Who has any money for shopping. Just found out my insurance costs are increasing to over $500 a month. I am disabled and that's over a third of my total income. Who can afford Christmas?

What a shame that the 2 "holidays" have lost their REAL meaning, and to the almighty "evil" dollar, no less. I see NO reason to get out of a toasty warm bed at 3am to go stand in a line just to pad someones bank account that is way over flowing to begin with. And it's outrageous that they stores are opening ON Thanksgiving, just to feed their cash cow. Goes to show they don't have any THANKS for their employees.

I have not participated in Black Friday shopping for over twenty years now and I still will not participate in the craziness this year. I stay away from stores till after Christmas because I can't stand crowds and I can't the mentality of some of the people.

I have come to the conclusion that Thanksgiving has become the forgotten holiday...The retailers go from Halloween to Christmas and skip right over Thanksgiving. I for one as tired of it. If people would step back and say enough is enough, maybe just maybe they would get the message. Unfortunately that will never happen because there are too many greedy people out there that will continue to feed the corporate greed band wagon. Fortunately, I will not be one of them...
