8 things that will cost less in 2014

Complaining about rising prices is an American pastime. You won't hear complaints about these items this year, though, because they'll be cheaper.

For the 25 million plus people who don't have jobs in the U.S., it doesn't matter what this article says will cost less in 2014  because.......... no job = no money to spend

The American people need to purge Washington of corrupted politicians.

"What will cost less in 2014?"

Human labor. Expect more jobs outsourced to third world countries with the cheapest work force.

Bonds? smart phones? used cars for $15,600? Many things will be a lot cheaper for me next year because I can't afford any of them. Because I am being forced to pay more taxes (health insurance), and make my, once very adequate, pension go farther just so I can just put food on the table.

It's sad when a used car cost 15 grand when you can get a low end new one for that. This article is just propaganda to make the economy look like it isn't circling the drain.

Not to mention that EVERYTHING has increased in prices by at least 25-50?% in the last 5-9 years and wages have pretty much stayed the same for most of us?

So really, they will cost less as long as you hope and change!

What a joke. Inflation is kicking all of the middle and low class individuals in the  **** and it is just getting worse. The fed is printing twenty billion dollars a week just to  jack up the economy and keep it from collapsing. Not included in the inflation quotient is the increase in the  price of energy and food of which just happen to be two of the most expensive items we have to buy. Unemployment numbers are bullshlt as there are just as many or more leaving the workforce numbers and not counted each month as there are counted when hired. Most of these jobs are minimum wage jobs anyway. All the American public get's is more and more lies from the government. The whole thing is a big joke period.

It's nice a POUND of coffee has declined 12% this year, but the 12 oz bag I find at the supermarket has remained the same.  Consumers got screwed when the bag size was down sized and now getting screwed again as the pound price drops but retail price remains the same.

Sounds like unemployment benefits payments will cost less in 2014.

Just because the media is reporting it, doesn't mean it's true.  The Economy is not stronger, families are not making more income than they were 5-10 years ago.  Healthcare costs are rising, taxes are going up, food prices are rising and gas prices are up.  They keep telling us the recession is over - really??

Opps, and I forgot your BIG loaf of franz bread shrunk by 25% as well as my favorite o boy oberto snack, those cocktail peperoni's came up 2-3 inches shorter and 2-3 less in a package?

RESEARCH AND VOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BUSINESS EDUCATIONS, not political science, lawyers, wanna be filthy stinking rich like ????? The USA is a HUGE business if not the largest on the planet, is it any wonder we are in the dumps with the types you keep electing? WAKE UP AND GET A CLUE? Political science is just learning to get your way alike lawyering by anyway including LYING and WRITING LIES DOWN FOR YOU TO BELEIVE! And when that fails they know you all have a price to sell your soul, and now with the nsa crap going on if nothing else they will blackmail things there way if they can!

I started buying bonds for each of my 6 grandchildren but stopped when you couldn't purchase them at our local banks.  I want the bond (Paper) in hand to give to the grandchildren not order them online.  That will hurt bond sales more than interest dropping.

Perhaps one might wait for the Fed's welfare by way of money printing to terminate before they pretend to know the value of money. But never mind that as a liberal rag spouting propaganda for the socialist nazi democrats keep telling the big lie goose steppers.

With millions of Americans losing unemployment benefits, there will be a whole lot less spending. I sympathize with those who are earnestly trying hard to find work but, because of age, for health reasons and being overqualified are unable to find jobs. But, those who are taking advantage of the system and are not trying to find work because it doesn't pay enough or because they are too lazy to get out and look, I feel very little sympathy for. The first, we need to vote out the members of congress who aren't doing their jobs as they were voted. Allow some of them to become unemployed. It's too bad the president cannot be put on notice for ramming his botched up Unaffordable Health Care down our throats causing our deductibles and premiums to increase sharply. His foreign policy is too weak and he has been caught in lie after lie. All this is going to hurt American spending and all this will lead to more unemployment if the selling of goods and services start to decrease. This could reverse our slowly recovering economy right back into yet another great recession. So what good is it if some things are going to cost less. No one will have the money to spend.

Just one of the many problems we're facing...

Minimum wage in 1963 was five silver quarters, amounting to $1.25.  50 years later, those five silver quarters at today's (12/30/2013) value would be worth $17.75!!!!
