This was a gag on the TV show Raising Hope... the characters argued over whether or not to add a stick to push the baby around.

Babies crawl around on the floor. Period.  In fact, it's a detriment to their future health if they don't, in several ways: crawl before you walk, etc.

This is the most important point: babies need to crawl around on the floor to develop future medical resistant to various diseases and ailments: a scientifically proven fact..

So what's the difference if they have a an attachment that cleans the floor somewhat while they're doing it?

With hardwood floors making such a comeback, turning your kid into a dust mop seems like a good idea. You could even rent him out to the neighbors and he could earn his keep. :-p

So what happens when baby tries to put those moppy strings in it's mouth after they have been crawling around on the floor? Although it sounds like a great idea and a good product, I don't think you would want the lawsuits that will follow behind it

My brother asked for one of those Beardo things for Christmas a few years ago. I figured I could make it myself and save $30. Turned out great, and I put snaps on it to attach to the hat, not velcro.

No parent with the  their right mind would not even think of using such a horrible product.  "products like the baby mop".  The floor should be swept and mopped or vacuum before a child is placed on the floor.  If you check the mop or the broom for bacteria, it would turn your stomach. I would not want that on my child's jammies. That would look more for a person who is so lazy that she would risk the child health.

Yeah, and the baby's lungs won't pick up any of those huge collections of dust bunnies those busy moms can't keep up with.  Cute, but if someone really used them, they might have a kid grow up with COPD.

My wife mops and cleans the floor BEFORE the baby is on it.  This is stupid and would never buy it.
