You can loose a good amount of weight over time if you stop drinking sugary drinks, eating sugary, and salted snacks alone! If not, you still won't gain weight as fast anyways.

Lose weight fast: spend a bunch of money on all of this overpriced crap!

I guess if you end up spending a bunch of money, it makes it more difficult to put off losing weight? I don't know, the only cost I have incurred for my weight loss has been running shoes and clothes, and the cost to enter 10k races to motivate myself to train for them. It took me several years of tweaking the running and adjusting my diet to finally start seeing results, but in the past 5 months I've trimmed down 3 holes on my belt! I've still got a few left to go down, but I definitely didn't spent thousands of dollars trying to get here. And, now that I have my lifestyle adjusted correctly, as long as I keep these habits up, I won't have to worry about putting weight back on in a  year or two. The biggest thing is that you have to motivate yourself, which is very tough when you're overweight, but very worth it in the long run.

like a comedian once said:  "people gain weight because the hole at one end is bigger than the hole at the other end".

Sit less at the computer and get outside. Move around away from the refrigerator. Play with your sports kids. Go for a hike. Go for a bike.

Now send me the 190 Billion for this advice.

Here was my weight loss plan, which I used to lose 20 pounds and keep it off for the last 3 years.  Are you ready for this?

Eat less food and go for a jog 3 times a week for 30 minutes.

That's it.  I still eat whatever I want, but now I just eat less of it.

I've written a new weight-loss book - available soon at better book stores.  It's called "The Eat-Less Diet".  The full contents of the book are shown below.

"If you want to lose weight, eat less.  If you do that and are still not losing weight, then eat even less than that.  Excercise is helpful, but not necessary.

Continue until the desired results are achieved."

The TV talk-show tour will start as soon as the networks contact me.

here's a proven one:  eat healthier more often and exercise more often.  an by exercise, you should be sweating within ten minutes.

The Joel Fuhrman book is very good. Just out and also good is The Starch Solution by John McDougal. Find both at the library (although there is a wait for the latter). Both are MDs with decades of success.
