I retired at 55 and waited one year ,went to work as a part time driver for a flower shop. Now I'm 70 and still driving for the same store, love my job. I wanted to do something different with my life then seating behind a desk.

I research all types of things in my current job and for different groups I'm in, but never thought of using it to make extra money or something I could do after I retire.

I love how these upcoming Seniors "think" they will be able to work till they are, say, 75 maybe even 80 (and most really have to these days).  Well, I thought the same thing.  Then at age 69,  I was let go because my job was being eliminated.  Yeah!!!!!  I'd been there 10 years and was the only executive secretary in the company.  I'd gotten great reviews all my time there and left making $52,000 a year.  Well, ladies and gents, no one wants you when you are 69 and now 73.  I looked for a job for 3 years and then just gave up.  They don't want you when you are old and grey, not when there are all the young people out there that work for half the price.  So, better really save or do something because living on only social security sucks, big time!  And, if the GOP wins this November, our SS and Medicare will take a dive.  Think about moving to, say, Costa Rica or South America cause it will get harder and harder to just live here in the USA.

you can always make some extra cash on doing surveys, and filling out offers for free items. You wont get rich but it will help pay groceries, gas or some bills I have been doing it for about 2 months on and off and have already earned $28.00 for maybe 3 hours of work. a good site for doing this is   they are a 100% legit.

It's something else when the avg.Joe works till 70-72 yrs. old, then they get kicked to the curb, wake up America this is election year, what's wrong with the Politicians getting kicked to the curb when they get close to 4 terms in Washington D.C., i think all American Citizens get on my band-wagon to show the Politician's we are the only one goes to the food banks, why aren't they, are they better than us? Well excuse me all you Republican Hobb Knockers you aren't any better than the people who have to apply for Govt. Assistance, & also to struggle to get by to feed there family members are forced to go to food banks so there family doesn't go hungry, oh would i love to see the Politicians get loaded up in a public transportation bus to get dropped off at homeless shelters, and make the Politician's  to live under tents for 3 months i dam sure bet things would turn around quickly, now you American Citizens are there any people left  with any back bones, that will take our fight to Washington D.C., even if it means all out American Revolution, how much more are the U.S. Citizen's expected to put up with, really i think the U.S. Citizen's are getting dam fed up with Washington the way they run our Goverment the way they please to do so,i also would make a safe bet the Politician's can't even balance the family check book out, if they can't do that why do we have Politician's run our Nation into the ground, wake up America.

Who ever responded to my post that i posted on June21, 2012 2:38 A,M. 2 people didn't agree on my post that i put out for the public to review, dam fools must be Republican knob suckers, wake up ,and smell the roses that come from a flower shop , instead of politician's b.s., maybe the politician's

should stand on the street corner begging for money like the street people that have been kicked to the curb,oh my would i love to see that, excuse me i don't believe in  political  corrurption, if the politicians

want everyone to get out ,and vote, please send everyone who is legal to vote in the U.S. to pay for

gasoline to gofrom home to voting poles, and return home, plus compensate few buck's for there valuable time they waste on these lieing politicians who standon the street corner at election time to get out ,and vote for them, as far as i am concerned  politician's are street beggers, they aren't any better  than a homeless street begger, begging money for a can of beer, or a hamburger.

I think senior citizen should do more volunteer work and,not take the jobs away from the younger people .Lots of these folks are retired military they should have enough  funds to live on. Lets give the young souls a good start and not have them hanging around  getting in trouble. Senior had there chance  enjoy your retirement Regards
