Summer visits to amusement parks and the like can be costly, but with some preparation and research, you can may be able to do it for less than you think.

Pack a lunch?   Very few parks allow you to bring food in at all.   The only solution would be to leave it in the car on ice, and go out to the car and eat lunch there.
