Money Talks News on MSN MoneyIf you're looking for a quick bargain getaway this summer, steer clear of San Francisco and head to sunny Las Vegas.

Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco © Kim Steele/Digital Vision/Getty Images TripAdvisor, a travel planning and review site, recently released its list of the world's cheapest and most expensive cities to visit this summer. The cost comparison revealed that San Francisco is the most expensive U.S. city for summer travel, with a daily cost of $507.75, and New York was a close second at $501.16.

For the fourth consecutive year, Las Vegas was named the most affordable city to visit ($276.03 per day), followed by Miami ($311.29) and Atlanta ($314.31).

TripAdvisor compared the cost of an evening out on the town (two cocktails, wine, two-course dinner and taxi service), plus an overnight hotel stay. According to TripAdvisor, things are looking up for affordable travel this summer.

"Travelers are eager to get out and explore this summer, and with hotel prices in major U.S. and global cities down 6 and 7 percent, respectively, travelers will be able to find more affordable stays and dedicate a bigger chunk of their budgets to meals and entertainment," said Brooke Ferencsik, director of communications for TripAdvisor.

If international travel is more your style, and you're on a budget, you may want to visit Hanoi, Vietnam -- the least expensive city in the world at $152.89 per day -- or Jakarta, Indonesia, next in line pricewise at $158.40.

You'd want to avoid overnight stays in London at $519.86 per day -- the most expensive city in the world -- and Paris, No. 2 at $509.84.

Western and Northern Europe are apparently pricey to visit. According to USA Today, they are home to seven of the 10 most expensive travel destinations.
