The 10 priciest ZIP codes in America
We've all heard of 90210, but Beverly Hills isn't even near the top of the list when it comes to the most expensive spots in the country.
The folks who sit in lawn chairs in Bel Air and Beverly Hills, offering tourists maps to the Homes of Hollywood stars, won't tell you this. But these are not the most expensive homes in the country.
Sure, we've all heard of 90210, but in truth, Beverly Hills, while indeed expensive (median cost of a home there is $3.5 million), is only sixth on the list of the 10 most expensive ZIP codes in America. It joins two other California towns (Atherton, just south of San Francisco, and Ross, just north) on this list. Even the Greenwich Village and TriBeCa neighborhoods of New York City (once artist-neighborhoods, now only affordable to Master of the Universe types) aren't considered the most expensive ZIP codes.
