$10 fares on JetBlue today only
You'll probably have to pay regular price to get home, but you may also find a deal on return flights.
JetBlue is celebrating its 10th anniversary with $10 airfares.
But you have to move fast. You have to buy your tickets by 11:59 p.m. ET today (Monday), and the $10 fare applies only to flights on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Many flights are sold out, but there are still seats available on quite a few routes. We found seats from Fort Lauderdale to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for $10 each either day. Return flights a week later were $104, making a total of $160.20 round-trip once taxes and fees were added. We tried to book a one-day trip, at $10 each way, but the computer wouldn’t let us. A one-way trip, however, was possible at the $10 rate, which was $33.10 once taxes and fees were added.
The $10 fare is for nonstop flights. There are some $20 one-way flights on routes that require a change of planes.
You may be able get a good rate on your return trip through JetBlue’s other ongoing sale, which we learned about from Smarter Travel. That sale, with fares starting at $44 each way (not including taxes and fees), is good through Tuesday for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through June 16.
At least you don’t have to pay a fee for your bag. Not only can you carry on a bag for free, JetBlue is one of the few remaining airlines that doesn’t charge for the first checked piece of luggage.
