Why you're still single
Bundle spending data reveals where the boys (and girls) are.
In teaching his son to play hockey, Walter Gretzky often told little Wayne (not to be confused with Lil Wayne) to "skate to where the puck is going to be." That wisdom helped turn Wayne into the most prolific scorer in hockey history, and it's not bad advice when it comes to dating, either. Go where the girls (or the boys) are.
And where might that be? I decided to use Bundle's spending data to find out.
Digging into the Everybody's Money tool -- which lets me see how much people spend on restaurants in certain areas, and what places are most popular based on demographics -- I found the results illuminating. You can see a marked difference in popular establishments among single men and single women. And, thus, I think, some good recon material for finding watering holes with eligible singles in your town.
For example: I bundled (new verb!) single men without kids in Tampa, Fla., between the ages of 36 and 49, making $75,000 to $100,000 a year. Those guys spent, on average, $707 on dining out in December. And where did they go? The Bungalow, Carrabba's, Fleming's, and Bern's.

But where were single Tampa women in the same age and income bracket? Boizao and the Palm, plus Chili's and the Cheesecake Factory. Missed opportunities, those.

I think the lesson is clear. Go where your demographic ideal hangs out. Skate to where the puck will be, and insert scoring-related double-entendre here.
