Ready for a Super Bowl instant replay?

Denny’s, which practically shut down the Internet when it offered a free Grand Slam breakfast during its Super Bowl commercials last year, is doing it again. This time, you don’t even have to watch the game to get the details.

The free breakfast will be 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone who shows up at a participating location gets a free Original Grand Slam, which is two eggs, two slices of bacon, two pieces of sausage and two pancakes. You can take a brisk walk later.

Denny’s three humorous Super Bowl ads invited chickens to get out of town (chickens watching television in various locations are in a tizzy) because “it’s going to be a tough week for egg layers.”

“We are leveraging the power of Super Bowl once again to connect with our customers to keep Denny’s in their hearts and minds by communicating our Original Grand Slam offer,” Nelson Marchioli, CEO and president of Denny’s, said in a news release. “We know that times are still tough and a free hot breakfast helps a lot of folks and their families. We heard from thousands last year who thanked us. This year Denny’s will even go beyond just one day of free meals by offering a number of everyday affordable programs all year.”

Denny’s is offering these additional deals:

  • The first 500,000 people who join the new Denny’s Rewards program will receive a coupon for a free burger and fries, good March 1-7.

  • Free “refills” are available for any order of french fries or pancakes, starting Wednesday.
  • People who register at a Denny’s location or online through Feb. 14 can win one free Original Grand Slam every week for 52 weeks. The chain will award 52 such prizes, one every week.
  • Anyone who shows ID with a birthdate can get a free Original Grand Slam on his or her birthday.

And kids eat free at Denny’s 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays in some locations. (Free night or nights varies by location.)
