Survey: Planes should have a kids section

A survey by Airfarewatchdog.com identifies readers' thoughts on the rudest flight attendants and other flight-related topics.

There's nothing scientific about reader polls, but sometimes the results can be quite satisfying. Take Airfarewatchdog's first -- and they hope annual -- subscriber poll. We appreciated the sentiments behind this finding:

83% of respondents have traveled with children in the past 12 months; however, 68% think there should be a separate section of the plane for passengers traveling with kids.

And what if little Johnny is incessantly kicking the back of your seat? Readers in overwhelming numbers said they would nicely ask the little brat -- oops, child -- to knock it off. Others said they'd ask the flight attendant to intervene.

What's most scary in a seatmate? One who is obviously ill, followed by one whose body extends beyond the boundaries of his or her seat.

The most dreaded part of airline travel: those roundly hated fees. "And speaking of fees," Airfarewatchdog said, "when asked, 'If you had to pay a fee for a carry-on bag, would you bring one onto the plane?' 62% answered no." Good for them, but they'll still be paying to check their bag or send it by UPS or FedEx.

The majority said Southwest attendants are the best by far. Delta was the leader for crankiest attendants, in the opinion of the readers, followed by United.

How would you respond to each of these questions? Of course, this poll isn't scientific either, but sometimes it's just fun to vent.
