I myself have never seen such manipulation from this Government. It is their goal to keep people buying, In the 90's it was real estate. 25% gains in 6 months happened. Then when people were bidding 10% more than the asking price I knew this was wrong. Then POW, there was a collapse in the market and home owners took a bath. MIDDLE CLASS. Then just recently gold and silver was manipulated and the false word of Invest in metals was out. I own an Antique Mall at this time and I couldn't believe the people. Actually believing in the Media on gold and silver. Didn't learn from the Home bubble bursting. Same s going to happen with your gold and silver. You see, the Government are experts on  keeping money flowing. They announce lies and get you to invest your money into future things that are going to collapse. It's what they do. Now their posting on the internet on what stocks to buy and of course there well be a good number of people that will fall for it and POW again. It's their job to keep money flowing, with artificial lies. How about he auto industry. Nobodies buying cars what do we do? Hey why not just allow people to come here illegally and take care of them and while their here give them drivers licenses and they will buy cars.  Auto industry taken care of. It's they do. The Government will get to the point where they will control the flow of water if  we don't watch out.

It will probably happen because you can't beat a person that says "If you vote for me you can eat for free" and that is the mentality of America today. I'm sorry to say.

WE live in uncertain times.

what is it with these guy's.. anybody can say buy now when the stock is high..it is a good stock..and..then when it drops they say sell   what the hay..  Buy low..sell high..not buy high and lose......what morons..

when a stock has reached it's peak over 52 weeks is not the time to get in..

Think about what u want..look at stocks that satisfy that want .. and invest carefully in those u are comfortable with..either..high risk, moderate or a mix.  Do not in most invest all in one...diversify.

Please excuse my ignorance ( as shameful as it is) but could anyone tell me how I can learn the basics of the stock market , so I too can understand how and why it seems to have a say in how and why our economy fluctuates as it dose, it seems to baffle a layman such as myself, I appreciate any positive feedback, thanx.

The best investment is to accept Christ as your savior, then focus on laying aside treasures in heaven not here on earth. This ride is temporary and I am looking forward to being eternally promoted.

"With the debt crisis over..."  The debt crisis has not yet begun.  All we have seen so far is concern about the upcoming debt crisis, when Uncle Sam has so much debt it must either devalue the dollar or default.  The time is drawing near if we cannot reign in govt spending.

Why would anybody listen to what NBC suggests for stocks? They are in bed with the most wasteful president ever.

They don't even post YTD, one year, 3 year returns anymore. Last i saw their "strategy" trailed even the S&P.

"However, corporate earnings have been mixed, and more than a few analysts see . And while the Federal Reserve left its policy unchanged this week, it could still decide to start "tapering" its market-boosting bond-buying program before the year is out."

This is Reality. The markets aren't overheated... we have NO economy, artificial stimuli in the form of fiat money diluting our currency and literally no pulse on Main Streets nationwide. The fact is-- Inbev can buy all the sewer lagers they want, nobody can afford a DUI so they drink a more expensive better-tasting slower-consuming micro brew much like they do wine. Two Buck Chuck Merlot isn't selling off the shelves either. I'll say it again... if you are investing in stocks during this heavily manipulated artificially moved time, you don't have any form of stability. Best to watch your back and the door you planned to use for an exit strategy... it may already be locked, or locking it is THEIR plan b.

Insider has it that some one is looking at consolidating many of the US mining industries that are hit bad by the low metal demand including gold and silver. This person who is already in mining business has allocated fund and people to buy many US mining company stocks at pennies before anyone finds out,

Standard Pacific peaked last week at $8.39 and since it has dropped dropped dropped.  I watch the home builders and own SPF stock and I find it funny how its the smallest % increaser when the home builder stocks go up and its the largest % decreaser when the home builder stocks go down.

They posted a profit last week and the stock went down.  Beazer homes finally posted a profit and the stock shot up over 6% while SPF was the ONLY home builder that day to be down.

Not sure why this stock has been going down when the others have been going up, but ranking it a 9 seems unrealistic according to its market valuation.
