And a slew of Obamacare-related taxes burdening the taxpayers begin this year...

The greedy, egotistical few are hell-bent on bankrupting this country and ruining the lives of as many people as possible, just so they can "rule" the world.

More of that HOPE and CHANGE you voted for.

How's that working out for you?

I'm getting screwed 'cause of your stupidity.  Thanks.

Well, I guess you have to tax more before you can spend more!  Oops, wrong again, you just increase the debt limit and borrow until the dollar is worth less than toilet paper!  I know, how can we expect to pay off the debt if we don't screw everyone out of every possible penny.  Maybe we should just spend less?  I guess that makes me some kind of crazed, right-winger!

Obama doesn't know how to make money--only knows how to tax money!

Flat tax and eliminate all deductions period.  Everyone pays something even if it's 1% for the low income.

Good news for all the people that have been out of work so long your unemployment insurance has been used up.  Obama promises that he will only tax you up to 25% of your net worth to help pay for his illegal immigrant amnesty plan.  Be sure to buy Obamacare, it is the law of the land...

Non of those perks should have existed in the first place.   The tax code needs to be simpler and fairer.

Why not just call these changes for what they are? They are all "Obama Tax Increases" no matter how you try to sugar coat it, or try to insulate Obama from the increases. Remember, there is no such thing as a bad tax increase to a Democrat.
It is there money and they want it now!

Obama and his cronies will continue to tax Americans till we are all in the poor house.

There is only one way to stop this over taxation,  Get Harry Reid fired from the senate in 2014.

I really don't have a problem with any of this other than the mortgage insurance. That is money that is being handed to the government anyway. Either Fanny or Freddy is helping themselves into my wallet. Why shouldn't it be tax deductible as it is already a form of a tax.

I live in a democratically controlled county and state. When the state was supposed to get a judgment from the cigarette lobby, they meaning the government, City, County and State went out and spent every dime, made sure that it was all spent, but they still haven't received the first nickel. Now they, City, County and State are all trying to raise taxes, again and when they find that they can't raise taxes, they have a new game in town. It is called fees. They just add a fee to whatever they want and there is no stopping the amount of extortion that comes from the fees.

Oddly some democrats might read this article though they pay no tax and survive as a leech.

It just keeps getting better and better. By the end of next year the POTUS will have to devote his full attention to supporting his replacement. We can only hope that he won't be able to get his pick of the litter elected...

Retailers want to sell, you get to decide what and when you want to buy. Family values determine your activities. I do not fault businesses nor shoppers.

I once ranted about all of the "Commercialism" associated with Christmas, but as my sweet bride pointed out, "look at all of the lights and excitement in children it generates." We do most of our shopping well before the frenzy sets in and enjoy the season. Everyone (extended family and guests) comes over on Thanksgiving and Christmas day for fellowship and  great meals. Keeps it real...

and without this tax deduction, I should already sell my house where I am already under water and rent an apartment. BTW I'll also have to file BANKRUPTCY in order to get out of the House I no longer get credit for. Good move and which RICH person thought of this??
