Ron Johnson's legacy will be that of a case study in business schools on how not to run a major retailer - all this in 1 year - next major selling season is back to school - they won;t last till then - missed their chance to admit the mistake before Christmas and try to salvage it - now those store withon a store vendors will be pulling out because they aren't bringing the traffic in to justify what they are paying Ron for their 'space' - take your $50Million Ron - it's been a year and you;ve tanked one of the most well known names in retailers - another notch too on Ackman's failed resume - you won;t have the cash flow to finance your transformation - bye bye

1. What about AutoNation the US largest auto dealer and most profitable auto dealer. That treat their employees the same way Wal-Mart does. God only knows what they tell their customers. I wonder what type of GOLDEN Parachute Jackson and Maroone have?

This is Ron Johnson's legacy - a case study in business schools on how not to run a business - when will the shareholders vote to fire his ****? Sad because so many retirees of JCP depended on the value of the stock for their pension - this guy needs to go ASAP - no clue how to run a major retailer withover a thousand line items - maybe implementing Steve Jobs plan for Apple stores with limited product lines is the only thing he is qualified to do, certainly he has no idea how run a major dept store

Dish Network is the worst company I've ever dealt with!!!!!!

I've been a DISH customer almost four years and have received fantastic customer service.

Got a puppy just after they installed my system and my dog ate four remotes before I finally got in the habit of keeping them out of reach when I wasn't home. DISH replaced every one at no charge.

Also went through three receivers the first year, all my fault because I put them in a cabinet without enough ventilation so they overheated and croaked. DISH replaced all of them at no charge.

Have talked with them several times when I wanted to lower my bill and drop channels. Every time they took $5, sometimes $9 off my bill (not just one time refunds, but permanent changes to my bill).

Maybe I just get the right CSRs, but I've had nothing but very positive service from them.

As for their spat with AMC, I watched a few episodes off AMCs web-site, and everytime DISH reimbursed me $2 per show.

Maybe I'm the rare customer who gets treated properly, but I've never had any problem with them. I'm actually surprised they keep showing up on the top 5 or top 10 lists of worst companies.

Really? Those are the most hated companies in America? People's values are pretty darn skewed if that's the case. The only company I actually hate and have never used and never will, is Wal-Mart. If you can hate Penny's and still shop at Wal-Mart, I feel sorry for you. McDonalds would be my second choice for extreme dislike of a company.

Where's Comcast.  I'd rather get a root canal than have to deal with Comcast.  There customer service is non existent.

JC Penny is an institution, I shop there quite often and I love the pricing and the way the stores are set up.

Why is everyone always picking on Walmart? I work there in management and its not the associates that make it a hard company to like its the upper management that suck in many cases. They need to concentrate on the customers like it used to be, put the security back in the stores and the corporate Dogs need to not fix what wasn't broken in the first place. the greedy bastards are more worried about their paycheck and not worried about the customers.
