Coke loses its pop: Time to buy?

Shares fall as the soda maker disappoints on earnings.

By Motley Fool Jul 16, 2013 2:22PM

Coca-Cola's (KO) latest earnings disappointed Wall Street as volume growth was downright anemic. Surprisingly, Coca-Cola's executives blamed the poor results on bad weather.

Motley Fool analyst Jason Moser takes a look at the results and shares why he views Tuesday's stock drop as a buying opportunity for investors.

Stock goes up, it’s time to buy. Stock goes down, it’s time to buy.

Question: If all I ever do is buy, how am I ever going to be able book a profit?

Coca Cola execs continue to test higher prices in the Midwest. Consumers continue to resist, and the price hikes give all of us a chance to try other healthier options. In our area, Pepsi is flying off the shelves...six 24-ounce bottles at one store for $8.88.
