The Oracle of . . . rock and roll?
Warren Buffett rocks out in black leather and long hair for a Geico company video.
Until this one.
Warren Buffett does Axl Rose in a bizarre -- but strangely catchy -- video made by employees of the Geico insurance company. You've never seen Buffett like this: black leather, long hair held in a bandanna, faux tattoos and the red plaid kilt that Rose favored.
He even sings! And pretty well, I think, for a guy who's more comfortable with a quarterly report than a microphone.
The very idea is so crazy you have to wonder how Buffett was persuaded to do this. Sordid blackmail? Lose a bet? Too many Peanut Buster Parfaits in one sitting?
As it turns out, the video is part of a series created every year by Geico to play at the company's annual employee meeting, according to Time magazine. Geico is a subsidiary of Buffett's BerkshireHathaway (BRK.A), and Buffett likes to participate in the annual video.
In the past, Time reports, he has dressed up like a DJ and a hobo. But this time, the creators wanted to get a little crazy.

"We thought -- what's the most ridiculous getup we could think up for Warren -- and thought, nah, we can't do that," Geico's director of creative media services told Time.
Buffett, surprisingly, was down with the plan. "I'm having trouble finding an agent that will take me on," he joked, according to Time. He's featured at the end of the video, which shows Geico employees singing about their dedication to customer service.
