Stocks for the Chinese New Year
Six Chinese picks with potential
Written by Douglas Estadt
I've opened positions in six stocks ahead of the Chinese New Year celebration. Here they are:
ChinaCast Education Corp (CAST): Online education company with a fantastic management team.
China Marine Food Group (CMFO): Present and growing popularity of night markets in more affluent cities will help this seafood snack producer.
American Oriental Bioengineering (AOB): AOB has many products on the list of Traditional Chinese medicines mandated by China to remain affordable for consumers.
China Precision Steel (CPSL): Smaller steel company that has performed well for us in the past, earnings report this coming Tuesday.
General Steel Holdings (GSI): Extremely acquisitive, always seeking the next rapidly accretive deal.
Cogo Group (COGO): Sitting on tons of cash and buying back shares which helps set a floor for their share price.
