If the price of gas keeps going up, they may turn out to be cheaper than driving to town. I've seen them popping up in towns so small I never would have believed it. They have a better inventory than gas station/convenience stores. On the other hand, maybe they have over expanded.

Family dollar is a "one trick Pony".  As soon as the economy recovers, people will stop going there. Maybe it can survive until the next recession, maybe not!
