Mystery website hints at new Harry Potter project
What is Pottermore, and what does it mean? Rumors abound of a new venture.
What's next for Harry Potter? Rowling's people say it's definitely not a new book. An editor at the Harry Potter news site HPANA got a sneak preview of Pottermore and said it's "breathtaking in scope, detail and sheer beauty."

One common speculation is that Pottermore is some kind of online role-playing game, perhaps in the same vein as the popular "World of Warcraft" game from Activision Blizzard (ATVI).
More clues might lie with the Pottermore trademark, which Warner Bros. claimed in 2009. In its description of Pottermore, Warner Bros. hints at a website "providing online chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards" and "online facilities for real-time interaction with other computer users concerning topics of general interest," Sky News reports.
Harry Potter is a cash cow that Warner Bros. clearly hopes to milk a little more even after the final movie in the series hits theaters on July 15. The series has sold more than 400 million books, and its first seven movies grossed $6.4 billion, CNBC reports.
